Sanguine He seems to be a genuinely nice chap. He did alright at Derby. Feel a bit sorry for him, tbh. You've got the likes of Lampard gurning his way into big jobs, and Rooney keeps plugging away in the EFL. But it isn't working.
He's very "nice" towards his granny, or rather to somebody else's granny.
Is this yet another example of a good player not necessarily becoming a good manager (see also Bobby Charlton, Stevie Gerrard, Lampard etc plus many others)?
When players are just naturally gifted they probably don't need to think too much about the game whereas those less gifted as players, e.g.
Mourinho, Wenger, Klopp, even Redknapp, turn out to be good managers because they had to think more about the game and how to get the best out of players as well as so many other things that go into good management
