Real excellent idea, sit at home and have the backs of people heads and all the assorted idiots in front of you that are probably amongst the reasons you've chosen not to go to the game in the first place.

I see Leeds are on the ****** telly again at lunchtime. Wish both they and WBA could lose though!

I see the twat refereeing is back already. Ipswich should be down to 10 but presumably that sort of handball is neither deliberate nor an arm in an unnatural position

Is Andy Robertson carrying a knock? He looked well off the pace today!

Fulham's Robinson (LB) looks excellent if they need a replacement

Enjoyed the second half Slot-Ball. There was some delicious football there, not least the opening goal. Gravenberch looks a different player.

As you were, though - all three supposed contenders with comfortable enough 2-0 wins.

can someone help me out with this one here is the vid

https://x.com/eflobserverpod/status/1825128930551922988

now maybe the rules have changed. however people in the comments are saying this has never been a rule, but I always though the ball has to be played forward to be offside. What the law today? and has it never been a thing that the ball has to be played forward for it to be offside

I thought the rule was that you had to be behind the ball when it's played to be onside, which he's not.

But maybe that's easily confusable with "the ball needs to be played forwards."

Doesn't matter which direction it's played as long as the other conditions are met (2 oppo players etc)

To me, it looks like it's the return ball where the player is offside

I thought that, at one point, if a pass played the ball backwards then it didn't matter if someone receiving it was offside.

Law 11 Offside - section 3

3. No offence
There is no offside offence if a player receives the ball directly from:

a goal kick
a throw-in
a corner kick

The Lino was comprehensively wrong.

The player who rec'd the ball, played it backwards to a now offside corner taker hence the Lino being comprehensively right!

It's odd to see anyone defending a corner and not having an outfield player with 3yds of the goal line.
