I see Ballard scored for Blackpool.
Not good that he went there rather than back to us but good that he looks to have recovered from his bad injury.

A real former player blast from the past came across my desk yesterday.

One of my uncles was getting a coffee near his office someone in the square mile, and he swore blind that sat at one of the tables was none other than Jimmy Quinn.

Unfortunately he isn't very technically literate so was unable to get a picture for my verification, but he was very sure it was the legend himself.

Presume he should have looked something like this gentleman:

My uncle is fairly old so I think it was mistaken identity, but I'd love to think Jimmy was there and telling tales of his goalscoring exploits.

Last I heard he was coaching at Solihull Moors but left them last December after 6 years. For the record he'll be only 50 in December this year.

 Jimmy has actually been out of football since leaving Nantwich Town in 2013 and he's 65 in November but at least I got the photo right. 8)

Must admit I have no idea what he's been up to but as long as he's happy and healthy I don't mind.

I was pretty young when he played but thanks to those two great Chris Maughan videos (Year of the Royals and Record Breaking Royals, both on YouTube) I have vivid images in my mind of him being absolute quality.

Yeah, right up there for me too. Fantastic strike.

Yep just read - Wealdstone fans saying poor attitude was the reason.
