I think it's worth mentioning the incident between Reading and Charlton fans in the second half yesterday.

I found it a bit odd there was no netting between the barrier before the game, as there usually is on the Club 1871 side (at the very least).

Couldn't fully work out what was going on from the East Stand, but looked like things being thrown once again. Seems entirely pathetic.

Not sure what the club's actually attempting to do about it though.

I had a view from the SJM and calling it an "incident" is being generous.

It was absolutely meaningless stuff with loads of their fans doing to "come on then" whilst jumping up the barrier and ours doing the same, being held apart by 3 stewards. Childish bravado but the same thing that happens at every ground across the country.

Few items were thrown which appeared to be drinks bottles.

I did notice that the segregation gap wasn`t as big as normal, 10 feet at most I would say, Our fans gave it big when we scored and I`m sure their fans would have done exactly the same thing if they had, as the above poster said, you see it to a bigger and lesser degree up and down the country every weekend, it`s no big deal.
A few plastic bottles aren`t hurting anyone. even though they shouldn`t be thrown.

Pretty much the norm for all things Reading FC recently then.
