Stranded
Brogue Twitter is in absolute meltdown this afternoon. Jesus.

It's strangely entertaining and crazy how it happens every few days.

Account #1 says it might be today
Account #2 say announcement at midday

No announcement

Everyone loses their sh*t completely forgetting that this is about the 10th time that has happened and Twitter is just full of random people who like to pretend they know stuff.

well it all seemed to have started with Huang Kad who posted it was going to be today, then that jamie hodder guy confirmed he had heard the same. and it just exploded from there. Seems this Huang guy has got twitter on strings

Sutekh Robert de Couhig's waiting...

Are we to expect an announcement in Italian?

Hasn't that guy announced the deal as being confirmed multiple times already? People on Twitter are massively credulous.

Twitter is full of know nothing narcissists looking to get their attention fix. We all know which X accounts are the ones to watch, while anything from other accounts can most likely just be filed under bollox.

I'm not expecting anything to be announced today as we've all been here before. But equally hoping there's no smoke without fire and that something imminent (& positive) is brewing.

Tbf, last week the rumours weren't miles off. We did get a statement that week.

Tbf, EPK is normally pretty accurate with the news. There’s still a few hours left today so it’s still possible.

The only relevant thing that is happening today for the football club is we are playing Crystal Palace away in a friendly.

Can anyone confirm there's no place for Nigel Howe in the new org?

He seems as culpable as the outgoing owner.

No idea for sure until new owners are confirmed and they appoint whoever it is they want but would say both Howe and Bowen are extremely unlikely to be part of the new management constitution.

I’ll stick my neck out and say there is no way a person recently sacked for misconduct will have a role.
Howe has had one job, to find a buyer and manage the sale.
Before that he had a role in the REP scheme IIRC and course him reverting to that but without a football club role.

Yeah, I thought Howe was brought back in soley to facilitate the sale.

I'd have sooner appointed Arthur Daley.

Indeed but apparently he knows the club and, being a property developer, should know his way around the law. At least I think that was the rationale.

I think his ban starts as soon as the sale is finalised regardless, or it was postponed for 6 months to allow the sale.

I think his former position on the EFL board woukd have been more relevant than some knowledge of a fairly unrelated legal field !

So, apparently it doesn't help having an ITK source when no one at the club actually knows what the oxf*rd is going on :x

We're closer than where we were, but not as close as what we thought.

We are closer than we were when we were farther away than we thought.
But not as close as we thought we were when we were closer than we are now,
