SBWD have published a leter, red cards will be handed out before the game to those where Sky cameras are likely to cover. Request to raise these on the 18th minute.
https://x.com/SellBeforeWeDai/status/18 ... 3908189623I will admit to not having better ideas, but I absolutely hate this type of thing. It's lame and it depends on Sky even noticing.
They do also say:
Why this protest was chosen:
- Suggested by fans
- Looks good on TV
- Really easy to execute - a walk out would have relied on mass participation
- Inspired by the red book protest - this can cut through to China
- This protest is something to put on Weibo, as we look to establish a presence on Chinese social media
Maybe it's me, but I just can't imagine any case where Dai would even know or care what we're up to. I've said before he probably doesn't even know or care about results, let alone someone saying "Sir, a few thousand fans have raised red cards".
I know it's about raising awareness. It's interesting about the Chinese social media though.
EDIT: further to this, I actually think tennis balls are way more effective. They stop the game for a short period (1-2 minutes). They force cameras to cover it as it will be on the field of play. It won't result in punishment. And it carries more weight then some fans lifting red paper.
