Borrowed off Twitter, but it's a reasonable assertion. Does this encapsulate modern day football?

Solanke
1 goal for Liverpool - in the England squad.
77 goals for Bournemouth - not picked for England again.
2 goals for Spurs - back in the England squad.

Seems about right for England. So often told "it won't matter who players play for" yet it clearly does.

Watched Scotland away at Croatia.
Very unfortunate not to come away with a draw.

Really good performances from Gilmour and Robertson but unfortunately their attacking options are poor although young Ben Doak has real pace but lacks experience ( not quite ready yet to fill Salah's boots  )
Imagine if England had to play a Div 1 striker as first choice such as Sam Smith.

It is a real shame that the Scots no longer produce such top players as Dalglish, Hansen, Law , Souness, Bremner, Gray, Mcqueen, Gemmill (s) McKay, etc., etc.
Remember that famously Celtic won what is now the Champions League with just Scottish players.

I do feel for their fans who must yearn for "the good old days" because in their case they really were.

Scotland finally got a win last night - and still in play for a Nations League quarter-final spot (would have to beat Poland away and Croatia lose at home to Portugal, with a minor small goal difference/goals scored swing). Scotland have to beat Poland anyway to avoid automatic relegation to League B.

Thought it was a deserved win; Croatia had a player sent off just before half-time. Ben Doak, who turned 19 on Monday, is starting to look like a serious player - currently on loan at Middlesbrough from Liverpool.

Quality viewing options. A choice of Twrci - Cymru on S4C with Welsh commentary or Andorra - Moldova on youtube. What a day to be alive.

...actually [nerdy push of glasses up nose  ]
... didukno ... you can get English Commentary if u tell your SkyQ box you are Welsh :D
... somewhere within Settings Audio select Language as Welsh then SC4 sometimes broadcasts in English !! :?
...not tried it for anything other than football ... often tempted to leave the setting as it is just to confuse the missus.....

After his four for Sweden last night, in 24 games for club and country this season, Viktor Gyökeres has 32 goals and 8 assists.
