We're just not ruthless enough and start too slowly from kick offs.

Hardly a surprise we are prone to conceding with such an inexperienced and young defence. And no real defensive midfielder starting.

Hi ho. Wasn't expecting a win. It's still been a good 8 days results wise. Next up home to Crawley in a couple of weeks, hopefully Abrefa, Pereira and Camara all back to fitness by then.

Soft red as well, don't get involved, ref was card happy.

Just disappointing really, Rotherham came out and did us for 15, took the lead and then saw it out.

People spitting feathers about our away form need to wake up and look at the state of the club and squad. Dodgy keeper behind a young backline and people get angry about the soft moments.

We're a mid table team. Strong at home, weak away but will hopefully do better at grounds like Shrewsbury, Burton etc.,

Maybe if we get a situation where we can make signings, bring in experience, perhaps an extra defensive coach, I'll start getting angry at days like today. Instead I'm getting angry at the people getting angry.

Playing a cm at rb (21) a 16 year old at left back, mm (22) and tb (19)at cb? It’s hardly surprising we concede so many goals.

Does the suspension apply in the Trophy, or will it affect Crawley...

If Kelvin is banned from Cheltenham... oh well, what a shame, nevermind.

Don't quote me on this but I believe suspensions were changed to apply to the competition they were received in.

I don't know the exact rules (and I haven't quoted you) but Trossard was sent off in the Prem recently then Arsenal played in the Carabao Cup in midweek (different competition) where the red counted so he could then play again the following weekend

Yeah I'm not sure then, trying to find the rules but it's surprisingly more difficult than I thought.

lol, now we know for sure that yours is a wind-up account.

(check the game stats and saves etc), we all gravitate to a scapegoat, and Button is one of our all time favourites….but today is not his day, doofus

ILoveMoonPig Now that we have to go on-the-day travel for away games, we're unlikely to win any away game further than Birmingham, realistically. I can't say I can get out of a coach after a 4 hour drive and be in tip-top condition.

We don't travel on the day anymore. That was only for a few weeks. The team stayed up in Yorkshire last night.

However as other posters have rightfully flagged, we have a shit goalkeeper in goal who never comes off his line because Pereira is injured and a youthful defence with a make shift right back. We also play a system that isn't defensive which you need to have success away from home. Coupled with 4 of the hardest away fixtures we could have got I can't say I'm surprised we've had defeats on the road.

I would be the first one here to throw fukks into DB, but today was not his day….bearing in mind he is our #2/#3 he has shaped up well in our recent games

Funny how there is never any credit due when we win :|

I'm far from his biggest fan, but I think he's played well since coming back into the side, making a string of good saves and not been at actual fault for any of the many goals. Maybe you'd like a bit more on a couple, but he's also pulled off saves I wouldn’t expect him to.

Meanwhile some of the defending has been actual atrocious. That freekick he palmed onto the bar, 4 oppo players ready to pounce, not a Reading player in sight. Today, crowded by three Rotherham attackers, only Mbengue anywhere near.

Obviously Pereira is number 1, but I'd much rather Button than CBC, Bouzanis, Andresson or Rowley. Probably Lumley too tbh, though that's tighter.

The defence is letting him down, midfield is soft, and we aren't being ruthless enough with our chances. Smith and Kelvin both should have done better at points and it's a different story.

But we're still doing fine.

Yes Button will drop a bollock….but, don’t they all?

Kelvin Ebettybettyhom did oxf*rd all when he was on the pitch so getting sent off made little difference. The rest put in a shift so can’t fault them for not trying.
