Klopp takes on the Head Of Soccer Development job at Red Bull, meaning he is overseeing the most disliked club in Germany, along with some other clubs.

Dortmund fans have not taken this well

French Ligue 2 table toppers Paris FC are reportedly about to be taken over by a combination of Red Bull and the Arnault family, with the current owner retaining a significant minority stake. Club valued at €90M.

The potential new owners have also said they want to move the club from the south of the capital to the west. to the 20,000 seater Stade Jean-Bouin, which is literally right next door to PSG

If you'd scrolled out very slightly, Stade Roland Garros neighbours Stade Jean-Bouin on the other side. Bit of a sporty district.

Probs should have mentioned - Bernard Arnault, who is looking to buy Paris FC, was named the richest person in the world by Forbes Magazine this year

Interesting times in the French capital

It's a lovely stadium as well, was there to watch some rugby in March. It is very much a rugby stadium, built for Stade Francais to play in but would make for a great football stadium as well.

Only other three-generation family of international footballers I can find is the Kluiverts, albeit Patrick's Dad Kenneth only played three times for Suriname, and his son Justin only twice for the Netherlands in his teens.

Michael Laudrup's Dad played for Denmark, but his son only had a brief footballing career, ended by injury.. Ronald and Erwin Koeman's Dad played once for the Netherlands, and Ronald's son (Ronald Jr) plays for Telstar in the Dutch second division.

Didn't know those 2. The only one I knew was the Forlan family in Uruguay. 3 generations that not only played for the national team, but won the Copa America

**non Europe alert**

Been looking at the Brazilian league the last few days and the relegation scrap seems to be where all eyes are

9 games left to go and Fluminense, current champions of South America, got a surprise away win at Flamengo last night which sees them climb 2 points out of the relegation zone, while just 1 point behind them are Corinthians, who I read are the 2nd most supported team in Brazil, and they have played more games than anyone else near the bottom too

Santos getting relegated last season (they are now top of the 2nd tier and close to securing promotion) was a real shocker down there, and they could be in for another season where one of the big boys goes down

BeIN Sport still haven't paid the money they owe to Ligue 1 clubs for their part of the TV broadcast deal they struck this summer for the current season. They were meant to pay €100M at the start of the season and have missed the deadline by some distance and some French clubs have apparently had to start looking into getting loans from elsewhere to meet their budgets

in completely unrelated news, BeIN Sport is owned by the owner of PSG

Imagine if, say, Todd Boehly TV Productions won the broadcasting rights to the Premier League, and 2 months into the season as Chelsea are doing well, Todd Boehly TV Productions don't pay the other PL teams their broadcasting money, meaning they can't afford to operate as expected and need to take loans and re-asses their budgets for January

French football just seems to stumble from one mess to another

Might have had this, but Aberdeen have won all 13 of their matches this season, 7 in the SPL, 6 in the League Cup. Their only problem is that Celtic also have a 100% league record, and have only let in one goal. Something has to give this weekend, as they play each other at Celtic Park. Would be terrific if another club could get involved in the title race in Scotland.
