stealthpapes yeah, defence a bit ropey and saved by moments of individual excellence.

Pretty much describes us as a team tbh.

think our attacking has shown a lot of potential, some good passing moves.

Ascotexgunner So I get to Mereoak 30 mins before kick off......
No parking.....anywhere....first time ever....drove around the area.....nothing....drove home in the end. Is there something clashing with the football does anyone know...pissed of with these 12:30 kick offs as well.....

Leaving it till 30 mins before kick off is very poor planning.

I have never ever had a problem parking there......as I said. Why would he t be different today?

Bit of a weird game. That half an hour after half time was as bad as we’ve played for a long time and scored twice in it

Crawley were half decent, finishing poor and some great keeping/goal line clearances. They lost it after we went 4-1 and we could have scored a few more after that

Mbengue and Bindon v good. But on some good saves. Elliott kept losing it, barely noticed Knibbs. Savage got better as the game went on and was running it at the end. Subs were all good

Will take the win of course but not one that will live long in the memory

Lovely sunny day as well. Nice suprise that

21 fouls to 6 tells a story. Ref seemed very fussy for us and not for their tackles. Never sure if we either just foul a lot or keep getting ropey refs. Maybe a bit of both

Glad for the result, shame I missed it.

Not surprising to me that our defence at times looks iffy. Its crazy young and Craig remains not a fullback but a midfielder. And it's frequently not well screened.

We've got the makings of a very good attack, but it just doesn't seem to link well with Smith, couple of recent goals aside.

Glad to hear Button getting some plaudits given people love to scape goat him.

Interesting to see Akande start ahead of Campbell. Campbell looks to me the more polished and experienced footballer, but Akande is the sort of rough diamond that makes things happen, because he's quick and direct, which defenders hate, he hasn’t been coached into safer play yet.

    Well, well.
Opened up the BBC Sport app to see how things were going and rather shocked to find we’d already had what looks like a pretty decent win !
I’ll get on with my afternoon now.

Akande didn’t do loads but what he did was v good

Button made an absolute howler first half passing out and seemed the crowd got on his back after a bit - but yes some quality saves later on

Thought Elliott was having a horrible game but a sort of assist for the third and improved after

Thought we were pretty poor in general going forward today which is obviously an odd thing to say when we’ve scored 4.

I thought Crawley looked far better getting into the final 3rd/penalty area but fell to pieces when they got there.

The difference today was that we were much more clinical when the chances presented themselves ( mainly by opposition errors ) than they were and our keeper made more saves.

Not that I’m complaining mind, we’ve had a few games this season when we’ve looked better going forward but haven’t finished teams off.

Does anyone know why Smith did the 'hands behind his ears' celebration in front of the ED stand after he scored ?

Just wondered what it is meant to mean...

Also, can't wait till Pereira is fit again....
