Hound Even take away all the ownership stuff, I think it’s great the manager and players come on the pitch and clap the fans at the end
There’s a bond there between players and fans that hadn’t been there for a long time prior to Selles. Tbf when Ince first came in (I still don’t really get all the hate for him) he actually improved this as well

Hound Don’t get me wrong, he was pretty useless as a manager. But some people generally seem to hate the guy; or maybe that’s just Twitter
Just another Clement, Pauno, Gomes for me - out of their depth with the odd good idea and unable to turn it round when things went wrong
He did however seem to understand the importance of the relationship with fans

IIRC he quickly forgot that when the pressure was on him!

Orion1871Snowflake RoyalFrom Despair To Where? Other than saying we celebrated like we'd won the cup, they reckon Forde lost them at least a point. Fairly even game.
I think he actually came closer to nearly gaining them one. Our approach completely changed the second we scored after he was sent off. We'd been creating plenty of chances and dominating the game up until then. Afterwards we simply stopped playing, with Bindon and Mengue playing at walking pace to run 20 minutes off the clock passing between each other and then hoofing it to Bristol. They suddenly stopped worrying about defending and just threw everything at it.
As for playing like it was a cup final, who was it who had their goalkeeper up for pretty much the whole last 5 minutes?
They're not saying we "played" the game like a cup final, they're saying we celebrated like we'd won a cup final. A bit like the Burton manager a few weeks ago they don't understand that our players walk around the whole pitch every home win to thank the fans. They're not as special as they think they are.

Dunno, he always seemed honest and fairly open with the fans, and still now says how good the fans were. Maybe I forget somethings he said

AthleticoSpizz Ince worked for us when we on that winning streak, he also got us Tom Ince (who, despite it all, attitude aside, was a life-raft on our rapidly sinking ship)….however, he was never one to ‘bond’ with the backroom staff at the MS (Spizz, a little itk there).
Despite his arrogance, I expected little different, and I didn’t get too hysterical everytime that he called-out one of our players that wasn’t fully committed to the club on a matchday.
He”s gone, it’s cyclic, we have a good-un right now, but we will have plenty more wrong-uns in years to come.
Let it go.

Recency bias.
Maybe racism.
