Feels like half the division is competing for the POs right now. GD only separating 5th and 9th

Very good performance and a well deserved win.
They had a few chances but so did we and it could well have been something like 5-2.

Mbengue was his usual mixture of giving the ball away, playing some well directed long balls and making a few tackles.
He looks to be injured in every game and makes spectacular recoveries to sprint 50 yards or so.
This time though, after fouling their player he had the slowest exit you will ever see and maybe he was actually injured this time.

These types of wins are so much better when they are not expected so let's be just as negative on here before the game at Barnsley.

We didn’t look feeble down the flanks for once. Michael (Karacan) Craig was excellent and Dorsett looked better too.

Excellent performance.

Deserved win.

Standard poor refereeing.

Should have scored more.

The sky highlights just show some of the glorious chances Peterborough had, all they showed of us was the goals and a savage shot that skimmed the bar.
I didn`t see any of it but I assume it was a very distorted view.

Very much so. I thought they had maybe 4 good chances, we had at least 6

Thought the officials were fine.

Not sure who it was that tried to lob the keeper at the death but felt if he didn't go for glory we would have kept it at 2-0, no harm done though.

If the game had gone on for 10 more seconds reckon Reading should have finally got the third as there was a 3 v 1 break on after their keeper came up and got bypassed from their corner.

I think when we win a game that we might not have expected to win we forget about the chances the other side had.
As posted earlier, it could well have been a 5-2 or 5-3 game with the chances created by both teams but it was a game that we fully deserved to win.

Dellor was incensed that the ref didn't allow us to play on for as long as we needed to score!

+1 We went to the barge before the game, a very odd place with the floor sloping to the right.

I'm not sure about it being the "best stadium in the league", the seats are cramped - my son couldn't sit down - and the facilities are terrible. A rare away win that we thoroughly deserved makes it a top day out

I wonder if we hadn't been winning if the referee would have allowed that attack to continue.

Peterborough are now the second best goal scorers in the division and second worst for goals conceded and not surprisingly are at half way in the table.
At their current rate they could get very near a 100 goal season but probably finish outside the top 6.

The only time we have been like this was the brief period under Jack Mansell when the attacking play was a delight to watch but defensively we were dire.

Just for the record Jack Mansell managed Galatasaray in 74-75, his first managerial gig was another blue and white hooped club in the now defunct Blauw-Wit Amsterdam in 1962. His final foray into management/football was with Maccabi Tel Aviv in 1982. He sadly died in 2016 at the age of 88.

Correct. 69/70 season saw us score 87, but concede 77. 164 goals!
