Reading have two players called up for an England U15 training camp - forward Tyler Adjei and a player I've not previously heard of, Kanazawa Kanninda. The camp runs from 28 November to 1 December.

Also, forgot to mention this at the time, but centre-back Sam Harrison was in the U18 Premier League team of the week after the win over Arsenal a couple of weeks ago.

Upcoming fixtures for the Academy are
U 18’s
Royals play there final PL U18 Cup Group C match on Saturday 23rd away at West Brom’s training ground kO 12pm. Royals need to win to stand any chance of qualifying for the QF’s(7 group winners plus best 2nd).
U21’s
The Royals return to PL 2 action a week on Saturday 30th with a home fixture against Liverpool KO 12pm. The match is at Aldershot’s EBB stadium.
Currently Royals are 16th and Liverpool 4th.

Tickets available online from the Aldershot FC website for the 2 Royals games at the EBB stadium over the next 7 days starting with tomorrow’s Liverpool match and next Wednesday’s PL International cup match against Dynamo Zagreb KO 7pm.
Prices are Adults £4 over 65 £3.

The U 18’s make a quick return tomorrow to West Brom’s training ground, this time to play them in a PL league match KO 12pm.

Reading U 18’s have qualified for the QF’s of the U 18’s PL Cup. We won group C after Sunderland lost 3-2 at home today to Blackburn. We and Sunderland finished with identical points and GD but we scored 8 to their 7.

Up until today I had always wondered why Michael Stickland hadn't been moved up to the first team especially as he'd won last season's Academy player of the season award.

However today I realised how important he is to the organisation of the Unders 21s team and to Noel Hunt.

I do wonder what will happen to him at the end of the season as I seem to recall he will be over age next season, but he hasn't had a chance with the first team and others have moved past him in the pecking order

Presume he will get a chance when Bindon goes, if not then the club possibly don’t think he could make the step up.

He's played four times and had three clean sheets since joining in October - including today against Weymouth in the National League South.
