Snowflake Royal Be interesting to see if there are any selection changes. No time to really do anything different on the training ground of course.

Our current form on the pitch is good, it's only the club that's broken!! The players have brought into this style of play and with Noel playing this same style throughout the U21s and U23s i wouldn't expect much to change.
It will be interesting to see if he does tweak a few things over the coming weeks though to stamp his way of thinking on the team.
The only difference tomorrow will be an Irish accent screaming instead of a Spanish one :D

Why would it get called off for wind?

And most if the times before that.

Why would we get a bounce, we haven't sacked Selles for being shit, he's left for being good. I know that's a fairly shocking state of affairs for an RFC managerial change this last almost 15 years.

Wind is dangerous and can create flying debris.

If people are being urged to stay inside its not hugely responsible to go ahead with a spectator sport.
Not that the wind is forecast to be especially bad in Wycombe, sustained 25mph, gusts around 55mph

Been reported in local press that the last thing Selles and the coaches did was to go through their tactical analysis of Wycombe with Noel

Can’t be as bad for people as the wind that comes out of Dai’s negotiating team though.

Not sure how this holds up.

Paunovic last 6 - W0 D1 L5 vs Ince first 6 W2 D1 L3 - improvement of 6 pts over 6 games
Gomes last 6 W0 D1 L5 vs Bowen first 6 W3 D1 L2 - improvement of 9pts
Clement last 6 W1 D3 L2 vs Gomes first 6 W1 D2 L3 - worse by 1 point over the 6 games (that said, it gets solid within about a month of that first run of games)
Stam last 6 W0 D3 L3 vs Clement first 6 W2 D1 L3 - improvement of 4 pts
Clarke W1 D2 L3 vs McD W2 D1 L3 - improvement of 2 pts, it gets better within a month but also utterly falls apart once we're out of the cup
Adkins to Clarke - things get mildly worse, down a point over the 6 games, things then improve until the cup run kicks in.

That's the logic behind this, if you can eke out one or two wins in the last 6-10 games, teams around you won't and you stay up. Two of the earlier sackings, Clement and Adkins, see little immediate improvement but then it does kick in later.
(fwiw, its much more likely that chance comes in and the fixture list throws up at least one team having a much worse time of it than you)

Peak vortex thinking either way.

Anyone remember when Ehibhatiomhan is supposed to be back?

I do wonder if he’ll be used differently by Hunt, although that’s obviously dependent on other players in the squad.

I think whether Campbell returns to Wolves in January will have an impact on whether Ehibhatiomhan stays out wide or if he’s given another go up top.

I expect Smith's fitness is the bigger decider on Kelvin going upfront.

Playing 2 up is pretty unlikely.

I don't think it really suits him anyway. He's a big lad, but he doesn't seem the sort to relish a physical battle with a CB, win much in the air against them or hold up hugely well.

He seems to me to much prefer ball to feet a bit deeper in some space and to run at people. He's got pace to go past someone like that. But I'm not so sure about in a foot face to get to a ball in behind having played off the shoulder.

Interestingly comparing our stats, we're very close to each other on most things, with who is better in what also being split fairly evenly. Slight advantage to Wycombe.

Could be a close game.

Or not depending on how much we've shaken our away form.

and Ince to Hunt was 3 points vs 3 points so no change there

yeah, I'd posted that somewhere else. Absolutely no new manager bounce from Hunt that season.

Basically, go early and support the new manager or go late and hope for a bounce.
