Haven't purchased my 9 yet as various people are scattered across different points bands.

I'm going to be on my own too at this game, as sadly my daughter and son--in-law fly back to the US the day before. They came with me to the Wycombe game last season when we finally won away. Let's hope that they weren't what made the difference!

Oh, and son-in-law couldn't believe how incredible the atmosphere was that afternoon. Nothing beats a Royals Away Day!

Previously done the into Paddington and then Marylebone out to Wycombe

I take it the Reading to O*f*r* and then train out to Wycombe is easy (and obviously cheaper)

Yes, that's what we are doing (again). Nice cruise into Wycombe with a few morning tinnies. Should be arriving at 10.56am lol.

Is it not a total ballache getting there by public transport?

Getting from train station to ground seems a simple taxi situation. But coming back may be more difficult as there will likely be loads of people wanting taxis.

Are people booking them and then walking 10 minutes away from the ground to the taxi pick-up point or something?

tempted to drive but really fancied getting trollied

They put on free buses to/from the station last year so I'd expect the same.
