Snowflake Royal Glad he got to see a win... he was a STH when he was young, wasn't he?

He was, and so were Tom Mc and his dad. Not sure if his dad still goes or if he is now attending Portsmouth games (when Tom is in the squad).

Which makes it even weirder that some Reading fans take so much joy in him doing badly, while at the same time worship Olise, who couldn't give less of a shit about Reading.

I think its aimed more at the pompey fans laughing how they'd mugged us rather than at Tom himself. There's been a lot of bad feeling between the two sets of fans, probably started by us when they were in financial difficulty a decade ago.

Started by them being neanderthal twats. Then financially doping and basking in its success and denying any wrong doing.

That's the sort of over simplification that drags football fans into the mud.

A small proportion of Reading fans gloated over their difficulties. That was pretty unsavoury. A small proportion of their fan base are now enjoying our difficulties. Not great, but understandable.

They had awful owners that over spent and nearly finished off the club. I think we should be able to identify with that.

They have historically had a number of violent thugs in their fan base. We're lucky in that we have fewer, although we still have some proper sewer dwellers dotted around the place.

Their club got at least some of what it deserved, ours is getting the same.

They're still pcunts.

Holmes was at the game today.

Members of McIntyre's family (especially his mum's parents) still go to Reading when they can. His parents have both seen him play for Portsmouth, but Portsmouth don't give their players as many "friends and family" tickets as we do.

Contrastingly Tom Holmes' parents are Londoners who just happened to have raised a footballer in Reading, he and his brother are Reading through-and-through though.

Should get the authorities involved. Poor lad sold off to Brighton like a piece of meat 12 months ago and now been trafficked to Mansfield. His eyes in those Mansfield pictures are dead and are saying “help me”.

This time last year Vickers was dragged in by the Brighton trawler net, and what has he got out of it? Instead of spending a year playing league football with us, it has been Under 23 football down there and he is no further forward in his development. If he were, Mansfield on loan wouldn't be the next step. Hopefully this lesson will not be lost on some of our other academy products.
Didn't Taylan Harris go to Luton in the same window? Has he been seen since?

Porto draw 2-2 with Rio Ave.

Omar Richards starts for Rio Ave with Nelson Abbey a second half sub. Danny Loader comes on for Porto.

That’s in Belgium for those that don’t know their Danders.

Shame, doesn’t seem McIntyre’s or Holmes’ moves are working out. McIntyre is already back at Reading’s level and Holmes probably will be next season too, one way or another.

He has to be right up there as one of the most obviously wrong headed waste of time signings we've had.

Absolutely crazy we gave a no hoper like that a three year deal.

Wrong for us? Yes, but “obviously wrong”? best part of 120 games for Sutton United (eighty-odd before he joined us), looked ok as back-up initially, but that evidently changed.

On another note (don’t know if it’s already mentioned elsewhere but) Simon Church on the beeb website discussing his mental demons during his playing days.
