Clement's been in borrowed time for months so appointing Ferguson tells me they've put the bait out and nobody's nibbles.

It's a safe appointment til the end of the season. Club legend and zero expectations so at least the fans will back him

heard some caller on the radio yesterday asked about this. The presenter said about Ferguson having little management experience, at least at a decent level, so why did they choose him as manager. caller says 'because he knows the club inside out!'

Ferguson left Rangers 16 years ago :|

agree. a bit like Lampard to Chelsea, it was so the fans have someone they want to back, takes the heat off the owners and the expectation is zero

Rangers good value for their win at Parkhead. Given the way the way their season's gone though, they'll probably lose to Dundee next week

No let’s hope for a Rangers win and a spectacular end of season Celtic collapse instead of the usual ******* tedious 1 horse race and finish.

Celtic actually play decent football. Rangers don't and are massively complacent when it isn't a big game.

They've beaten Celtic twice in the league this season but yet are still 12 points behind. The problem isn't Celtic.

Well, Rangers beat Dundee but all their familiar frailties against "lesser" opposition were there to see. To be fair to Ferguson, he's getting results but they've not kept a clean sheet and conceded 2 or more goals in 6 of his 7 matches.

Celtic 3 wins from the title. They have St Johnstone (12th) and Kilmarnock (10th) to play. Rangers have Hibs (3rd) and Aberdeen (4th) so the title could be done and dusted before the split.

The 4th Old Firm game will be at Ibrox so we could have the insane situation of Rangers winning 3 of the 4 derbies and still finishing over 10 points behind Celtic.

Old Firm both lose, Rangers not so surprisingly with their 5th home defeat in a row, inflicted by a resurgent Hibs, absolutely massive shock in Perth, though, which St Johnstone really needed given that both Dundee and Kilmarnock won on Saturday.

Shaping up to be a massive final week in to the regular season.

Celtic can win the title if they beat Kilmarnock at home and Rangers lose at Aberdeen.

3pts separating Hibs, Aberdeen and Dundee Utd 3rd to 5th. Hibs and Dundee Utd are at home to the bottom 2.

Hearts, St Mirren and Motherwell fighting for the Top 6 finish with Motherwell hosting Hearts, St Mirren host Ross City who are only 3pts behind them. Whoever finishes 6th is safe from relegation

The two who miss the top half finish are in a real scrap to avoid the relegation play off with only 5pts separating 6th and 11th.

St Johnstone are 5pts adrift at the bottom but with the split coming into effect, if the gap doesn't get bigger, they're by no means out of it.

Brora & Brechin both on 79 points with 1 game to go in the Scotch Highland League.

Brora ahead on GD and both have 'easy' home games next weekend to finish the season

Celtic thrash Kilmarnock and Rangers rescue a draw from 2 goals and a man down at half time at Aberdeen. Rangers can still win the title if they win their last 5 games, Celtic lose their last 5 games and they overturn a 42 goal deficit on goal difference in he process.

Motherwell and Hearts draw so St Mirren nick 6th place with a win over Ross County.

Fight for the European places is tight with 3pts separating Hibs, Aberdeen and Dundee Utd going into the split. St Mirren 9pts back and will finish 6th

Bottom half, St Johnstone are 6pts adrift so have a tall task to survive. 6pts separate the other 5 (1pt separating Kilmarnock, Ross County and Dundee in 9th-11th) for the relegation playoff place so everything is up for grabs and no-one will feel safe.

Brechin City 4-1 Lossiemouth
Brora Rangers 7-2 Rothes

Both Brora and Brechin finish on 82 points but Brora take the title by 31 goals (117-31) v (84-29). Go to feel sorry for Brechin. Last year they lost out by 2 goals after finishing equal on 81 points with Buckie Thistle (Buckie finished 7th this time round). Believe Brechin were then stitched up by the Highland League who refused to put Brechin forward for the pyramid play off even though City had the required ground licence.

One set of fixtures remaining in the lowland league but East Kilbride have got it all sown up being 6 points clear of second placed Celtic Reserves (and 11 points clear of 3rd placed Caledonian Braves).

For the record, the sides previously relegated into the Lowland League from Scottish League Two are pretty woeful. Albion are currently 6th out of 18 clubs, East Stirling 9th, Cowdenbeath 10th and Berwick 15th!

Hope Brora can win through, be great to have a seriously northern Scottish side in the top Scottish leagues.

Thing that makes we laugh about the SPL is that it makes Rodgers look like a good manager - which we know he isn't!
