Liverpool fans celebrating the club's historic title-clinching win over Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield caused a series of tremors, university scientists have revealed.
Arne Slot's side secured the club's 20th top-flight championship defeating Tottenham 5-1 in front of a packed Anfield stadium on 27 April.
The most significant tremor was caused by Alexis Mac Allister's strike in the 24th minute, which put Liverpool 2-1 ahead and registered a peak magnitude of 1.74 on the Richter scale.
The data was recorded by University of Liverpool earth scientists using equipment used to detect earthquakes.

From Despair To Where? It's more that he sounds like a robot reading an autocue. For someone who's been at the club for 20 years, you'd think he'd be a bit more animated.

This. And in that sense evident how he came to the decision that he has. He doesn't speak like someone who feels a real connection to the club, beyond his past experiences, and that is how it is. But there's a list as long as one's arm - Cuhna, Mac Allister, Grealish for example - of players who have signed long deals a season ahead of a club selling them, ensuring that club got a sizeable fee. It's the manner of his leaving that probably grates with fans most.
Was obvious to me that he was gone when he didn't join in with YNWA after the title was secured. Turns out he told Slot he was going a month ago. Would have been bad optics to be singing that having already committed to Madrid.

Brogue i applaud him moving. Would have been very easy just to stay and continue. He's won every trophy going with Liverpool. Why not move on and test your hand at something else.

Don’t understand why he’d leave a club where the fans idolise him to a degree and is able to challenge and win the top honours, for a club that only want him because he’s out of contract, where the fans apparently do not want him at all and who will struggle to get ahead of Carvajal with a press that will have a real go at him at his first cock up. Does he think he’ll get a Ballon d’Or or something? No it’s all about the extra £££££££££, the millions he (and his agent brother) will get as a signing on fee - can see Liverpool fans turning their backs on him and branding him a total mercenary. He’s not even the best right back at the ‘pool anyway.

Carvajal turns 34 next January and is coming back from a major injury. Real only hand out 1 year contracts to players over 30, so there is no guarantee he will be there beyond next season. Especially if he fails to come back as he was before.
They play in different positions, but Real are desperately in need of someone who can provide them with the passing ability and vision of Toni Kroos, and Alexander-Arnold provides that. They also had Marcelo for 15 years, and Roberto Carlos, before that so are used to full backs who aren't the best at defending.
Even then, with Xabi Alonso likely coming in during the summer, TAA is likely to be playing as more of a wing back rather than a full back, which hides his defensive frailties.
