Ian Royal Still think he's a damn useful player, but should never be more than squad cover.

Played at his best in 5 man midfield. needs to find himself a club which will play him in that role again. Otherwise he just doesn't have enough of an all round game to cope in 4 man midfield.

He is sh*t, move on FFS. He has proved that from the slagging he gets on the Norwich Forums.

Cheers!

Did ITFC actually say how many seasons it would take for Forster to get 15 goals?

Have moved on thanks. Think we have a much better squad than when he was here, but then seeing as he was playing the role of first team regular and about 5 reserve players thats no surprise. I stick by my view that he is a very useful player to have in the squad.

Hughes used to get a big slagging from half of this board, and the other half loved him. so that proves nothing. Get it through your thick head that on the whole managers and staff know more about football than fans.

Hughes is a flawed player but still an great asset. I'm glad we have Gunnersson, Convey, Hunt and Makin to take over from him. But given we still only have 3 players who are for the centre of midfield, I still think he would have been better than most other teams 4th choice.

PS LOL at ITFC

strap
18urz71 Because Lita said he wants to stay at Bristol City, and Aliaderie is on loan at Celtic. Coppell just can't attract bigger name players to the club like Pardew could. Pardew's era was about ambition and success, whereas Coppell's is about doing things on the cheap, and maintaining where we are.

Sadly doing things on the cheap is likely to mean we won't stay where we are.

Just wanted to show all that Strap was spot on pre season :P

great thread this have a re read folks.

Just checked out Ipswich's top scorers.

Nicky Forster is on 3 and Sam Parkin is on 5, which brings it to a total of 8 for a much vaunted strike partnership, compared to 30+ by Reading's strike trio!

Gordons Cumming

You lot of whingers are all t*ssers.
You're all going to look stupid when we're top at Xmas.

We had just had one of the biggest second half collapses we had seen in years, sold our top scorer over the previous five years 6 months after losing our stalwart centre half and captain and replaced them with two unknowns from Cork and Brentford. The bookies had us down as 16/1 to win the title and you say that?!

6 months later 20 points clear of third a 9 of second you won't even contemplate thinking we are promoted?!

Now that is the biggest turnaround we have seen in these boards!! :D

What a load of cobblers. That was one of my more positive posts.

I'm deeply hurt at this ridiculous comparison between me and SDR.

I shall never darken the doors of HNA again.

I have the safe cushion of Z Head giving me £50 when Reading don't finish top 5.

How on earth was this thread allowed to slip down to the last page?

Jeffers217 Please now! Can't sign a named player to save his life, couldnt even sign Powell. Damaged all the enthusiasm of the club and damaged the half decent football we used to play. Added to this players have lost confidence- Harper, Murty, etc

Be quiet and have some optimism! The season hasn't even started and some of you guys are moaning about him!

AND THERE'S STILL A FREAKING MONTH TILL THE SEASON STARTS SO HOW DO YOU KNOW COPPELL HASN'T GOT ANYONE LINED UP?!??!?

ALL YOU MOANERS CAN JUST OXF*RD OFF AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED!

cos hes crap in the transfer market, and has not progressed us in the slighest. We have a worse squad than when he took over!

That doesn't mean he won't buy excellent players! How do you know he hasn't got Lita lined up or Aliaderie (spelling?) coming on loan to Reading? There's still a month to go before the start of the season people! Give him a little more time!

because alladiere signed for celtic today on loan, and lita said he's not going anywhere? do you keep upto date on news?

Lovely stuff 8)

ITFC
The whole year inn
I will chew my own arm off if he scores more than 6, possibly 7 goals next season. I would also not be surprised if they all come against us.

Oh I have no doubt that he will bag at least 15 goals judging by the way we play, I just wondered why you let him go if SC didnt have someone lined up to jump into his shoes.

LOL
