Portugal for me.

Best winger in the world in Ronaldo, deserve it. A small country who have done very well. Unlucky not to win Euro 2004, hopefully they can go all the way this time round.

Atomic bomb for me....

Hate all four teams left in it, and would love to see them all loose. If an atomic bomb is the only way to achieve this, I fully support the idea.

Harold Germany - as I put £75 on them at the start of the tournament.

Italy for me, put £50 on them before the tournament began.

Ginger Ninjas what planet are you on, Italy have had one 1 - 0 victory this tournament, Portugal lead the way with two.

Always loved that mascot, a timeless classic.

Although a special mention goes to -

Finerain, why such a dislike for the four semi finalists?

Big Ern With the dream over for another 4 years, and with a lot of peoples second choice team, Brazil, also crashing out, we are left in a bit of a dilema of who to support. We have more reasons to hate rather than like the teams that are left so who will you support in the tournament now.

Why are Brazil everyones second team ?

I didn't say everyones

OK  , why are Brazil a lot of peoples second team

I have noticed a lot of people wearing Brazil shirts, and the majority of people who I have spoken to would have prefered Brazil to win it again after England.

Cool shirts.

I picked Germany last year on largely formulaic grounds (one of the "big four", a European team in Europe, home advantage), and I'm still backing them to win. I'm glad they've played some good football along the way, and I'm really a Klose convert. He has all the tools for a striker, most importantly patience. When it's not there for him, he knows it, and when it is he's lethal.

Having said that, France have palyed the best football - not al lthe way obviously, but in the last game and a half. One of the fascinating things about this world cup was watching the strategic shift in the Spain-France game as the old heads gradually reined in the Spanish kids and started to turn the screw. The French defence has been (surprisingly) awesome, Zidane has raised his game to the top, Ribery has gradually found his feet (I was ridiculing him after Switzerland). The performance against Brazil was simply awesome.

So on aesthetic grounds alone, I want the French, and will be supporting them from here on in. But if (when?) Germany win, I reserve the right to say "I knew it!"

For me, Italy and Portugal both play far too negatively, it may not always be possible in the modern game, but I like to see teams have a go at it, hence why I will be supporting Germany from now in. Just because Italy have had less 1-0s than Portugal in the last few games doesn't stand up to much, (circumstances have meant that Italy have been given chances to score more - playing against 9 men in the USA match, playing Ukraine in the quarters). In the last 4 or 5 major competitions, Italy have been far too willing just to shut up shop, and have often paid th price, which is a good thing. I would be delighted if they were to come out and attack, and would have no problem in supporting them in that case.

I'll be cheering on Portugal now. The reason being that (sounding gay now) Ronaldo is my favourite player left in the competition, and with the exception of 50p head and Balsawood is the only United player still at the World Cup.

Tredder Germany for me, the people over here are top people and they've gone out of their way for the English.

Completely agree, anyone who went out there will, I believe be rooting for the Germans, who put on a great show and let the England fans enjoy themselves.

Personally , i am just hoping for a Germany - France final.

The Portuguese and Italians are both spoilers and therefore Germany v France should provide the best game. I want Football to be the winner

I've thought that Italy have played quite well. If Toni had been on form, they'd have comfortably beaten Australia.

Italy have played well but the thought off them going 1-nowt up after 20mins and Playing out time in a crucial game would be a disaster for the spectator

Which is something that they haven't actually done this tournament.
