Prediction: Bromley v Reading

by Alan Titchmarsh » 13 Jul 2006 09:03

OK, just about a 2 days and half til kick off in what will be our biggest game of the new season so far.... reckon we can hold the might of Bromley?

I think we'll annihilate them by 1-0. Simon Cox will score the winner.

Anything less than a 16-0 mauling and I'll have to kill Coppell in Brommers new AC Milan style dug-outs.

I was reading about these dug-outs in the News Shopper, look to be the daddy of non league dug-outs

Reading to win 4-0 in front of a crowd of just under 1,000

I predict that I will forego the delights of a trip around the M25 in favour of free booze at an AndyRFC hosted do.

Yep, they looked pretty good didn't they?

I also see that they've done up the club house (I quite liked the old skool terrapin before) and there's a new pitch. They've even given the barriers a lick of paint.

Anyone coming to this match should enjoy the time warp that is old skool standing terraces and switching ends at half time. It's like the lost world of football

10 minute bus ride for me to get to Hayes Lane, so I'll be there.

Likely to be in The Change of Horses in Farnborough Village initially, then get the bus up to The Bricklayers Arms (Masons Hill, close to ground)

If you hadn't of guessed I'll be there. A couple in the Bricklayers around 12, back to the homestead for some grub, then a brisk walk to the ground with a few tinnies.

There should be some sort of dodgy hobnob handshake or a sign. Or maybe there will only be the five of us wearing the hoops!

I will be visiting family nearby.

£10 to watch Reading reserves will be a "value for money" sanctuary for a few hours.

Can you get a pint there?.........................and what of?
