A big BOOOOOO to RFC. The Radio Berks coverage was by far the best, unless Murty was co commentating on 107. I'll be sorry to no longer have the chance to listen to you, though I'd been forced to use 107 for the last year or so having moved to Cambridge anyway.

Best of luck with winning those rights back in the near future.

BBC RBs coverage of RFC has been superb over the years, they've even travelled to Sweden and Germany to provide full live coverage of preseason games!

I never listen to 107, have they been providing coverage of the preseason games??

Perhaps we should start chanting the BBC Radio Berkshire jingles during the matches.

It would be interesting to hear the club's real side to this decision.

But we won't.......................

Gutted.

When I moved house further away from Reading I had to get a new ariel pointing at the BBC Berks transmitter so I could get the coverage for away games in Surrey.

Hear you next year hopefully.

I'll still be listening to BBC Berks from 1pm and after the game so not much will actually change from my point of view but then I'm lucky enough to go to games anyway.

The thought of so many adverts plus music, music, music just isn't what I want to be hearing around my footie.

Good luck to the BBC for the their tender next year by the way.

I've got to say I actually prefered the commentary on 107, but BBC Berks was far superior in its all round coverage with interviews, fan opinion and so on.

Now with a monopoly situation, I can see no reason for 107 to improve its service.

I shall still tune into BBC Radio Berks on my way down to Reading and on my way home, it's good to hear that they will have some coverage available. However, I shall miss sitting in my car on the drive on a Saturday, listening to the games when I can't make it, with the neighbours wondering what the hell I'm doing!

Can't stand listening to 107fm on the way back from matches, or when I can't make a game.

107fm is gonna be recieving one whole lotta hate mail from my email account in the coming weeks.

Is there nothing the fans can do to sway this decision? Surely if we got a bigger group of fans wanting to have BBC Berks, we could hijack the whole damn idea.

Bring on a petition thats what I say!

This is a real loss, the commentary was at times hilarious, but they sure did have the ability to get the hairs on the back of your neck to stand up.
They really created atmosphere. The real loosers must the Joel etc, who presumably will be stuck in a studio and will miss the games completely, they must be gutted.

It would be interesting to know just why they lost it.
