That Friday Feeling
Slinky are the premiership patches worth having and do they cost extra?

Worth having?

Definitely - the way I saw it was that the club didn't have to give us a £5 voucher off the shirt and as such my £5 voucher was the equivalent of getting the prem patches for free.

Plus, in years to come when the memories starting to fade, you'll be able to look though all your old Reading shirts and see which one was the first we wore in the Premiership...

cheeryoleary According to the ticket office as of 1130 today, the voucher for the yearbook will be mailed and should be with people in a "couple of days"

Cheers then

Presumably they are not stupid enough to carry out two mass mailings, so the shirt discount voucher will also be included. "couple of days" in RFC speak usually means a week; so not much good for exiles/those on holiday who can't easily get down to the stadium and won't have time left to post back the voucher before the deadline expires.

At this rate there's a risk that RFC will appear in the next edition of the Oxford dictionary as a definition of incompetence!

Well I just took my own advice and popped in there (late lunch) with my season ticket. Discount given automatically - just had to fill a form in promising not to use the vouchers when they turn up.

One new shirt with prem badges took 5 minutes so not too busy at all.

Nice shirt too.

I usually dont buy home shirts as to be honest the quality has been quite poor over the years but i decided i would this year as it is our first year in the prem and I am quite supprised with the quality.

I'd like to see them work that one if you pay cash

They keep a note of your ST number - I presume there must be a personal reference on the voucher for them to check against.

You can try though

If no-one has received a voucher, but you can order the shirt by mail order with the form sent with the voucher (which hasn't been sent) - how EXACTLY do we order these shirts then??? I DO hope Boyd is reading this.

You really think they are that efficient?!!

Don't forget they completely lost track of who had been sent their DVDs.

Even if they can do what you suggest, they surely have created double the work for themselves, which means they would have been better off employing the staff (even temps) necessary to do the job properly and on time in the first place.

They have had over £800 of my money

.......I have received a text saying that all is processed (about 2 months ago)

I have not had any kind've contact since then

I begrudge using their 40/50p per min phone lines to chase things up

I will not be at the inaugeral Premiership game

Anybody want to utilise an adult and concession seat for this game?

Went to get mine yesterday. Got there at about 2:45. It was really quiet with only about another 4 people in store. They had run out of the Medium sized ones and all the display shirts out were nice and dirty.

Quite staggering that they manage to run out on the first day of the offer and with a whole season ahead!

Any bets on another 12 week+ lead time from Turkey fro the next batch?!

Apparently they are having orders arrive throughout the week. But this is RFC so I might put a tenner on the 12week bet

Went in at 9.45 this morning and got four shirts (for the family) and badges printed with no problems - just a short wait for the printing.

The mighty RFC marketing machine seems to be finally lumbering into life - vouchers arrived this morning.
