Respect to STAR, this is a significant endeavour to man STAR HQ for all these times. Is it right that the hut doesn’t have a window? I’d hate to be stuck in there and not be able to see out, especially on match days with all the fans walking past. How about a fans appeal to raise funds to buy STAR HQ a window?

The 17 Bus Thats a big shame, as going on the official coaches will be seen as safe by most parents.
What do the new rules say STAR?

earley_royals Out of interest, what do you class as 'youth'.

The 17 Bus I would assujme that under 18's are allowed to go with friends parents?
by STAR TRAVEL » 07 Aug 2006 09:53
Royal Lady fair comment The Cat. I don't believe this legislation has only come into force this week.

Royal Lady I've had the checks yes. I can understand the sad need for this nowadays, but you could argue that if the "responsible" adult isn't the parent of the under 18, then they should have CRB checks too - where will it end.
by STAR Liaison » 07 Aug 2006 12:02
The 17 Bus Hmmm, many folk will have had CRB checks already, it is time that those that have had them were given proof.
I assume RL has been checked, so in theory she could accompany under 18's on the coaches?
It seems silly that people have to have a check for each different event that they might have to be in charge of children..
I wonder what the implication is at the grounds, surely the responsible adult still has to have responsibility during the match for said youngsters?
