Forbury Lion
M4 Junction 11 Anyone know who in the Reading FC set up has written an autobiography?
I'd quite like to one by Steve Coppell.
I'd like James Harper.

Good old Kits, gradually turning himself into a real football "character" The guy is far smarter than most of his peers in the industry and is spot on.

Frankly we may only be up here for a year so anything that makes the splash bigger is fine by me. Another dig just before the Chelsea match and we may be able to goad Frank and his buddies into making a mistake. What's the worst that can happen? It isn't like we've got much chance of beating them anyway, not really much room for it to backfire.

I think Colin is an idiot, but he's an entertaining idiot who isn't as bad at his job as people like to make out.

Kitson is clearly an intelligent and very considered chappie. Warnock is never in control. There is the difference.

Besides Kitson plays for Reading, of course I support him over oxf*rd oxf*rd warnock!

If Kitson was so clever, why was he stacking shelves down the supermarket a few years ago?

Because he was trying to get a job in football and the shifts were easy to do that around, because it's a common interim job? If he'd have been a Till Monkey I'd be more worried. Loads of intelligent people work in a supermarket at some point in their early working career.

I've done it have as have a lot of people I know who are fairly intelligent.

As someone who mocks SROT for supposedly working in fast food places, I'm astonished to hear you were once a shelf stacker.

He was obviously a teenager at the time, and therefore had little else to offer the world - right Ian?

Lampard would be the first person dropped from the England team sheet if performance was the only marker. He really was piss poor considering his run up form for Chelski. I just never expected a fellow pro to say, what everyone who read the drivel that was in the book, was thinking.

Well done Kitsy. Lets all laugh at Lampard

And why shouldn't Kits have his say ? Lets face it, England were sh*t in the world cup ... over hyped and overrated ... and with Mclaren in charge I really can't see things being any different.

Has this damged Kits' chances of an England call up though?

Kits is spot on, he may have annoyed a few over inflated egos at chelsea, and he may have annoyed some chelsea fans. but thats only a good thing, gives us things to sing at chelsea and has no doubt endeared us to some premiership clubs (notably west ham)

i love kitson cause he doesnt ever come out like a primadonna or a whinger, he just slams idiots

Kitson was spot on with his comments; only the most one-eyed Chelsea fan can think that Lampard had anything but a mare of a WC.

For him then to slag off the Manager in print a month or so later IS cowardly; why didn't he (as a senior player)make it clear in the dressing room that he was worried about all of what was going on?

Cos it would have jeopardised his chances of making a few quid maybe?

I hope the rest of our players exhibit the sort of desire to succeed at this level that Kits' has done in this article.
