Can't believe it! As an exile 'ooop north' I go to 6-10 away games each season but I never thought I'd get a ticket for Saturday's match v The Boro so didn't bother trying.
Just went online and booked a ticket! Wonderful. Can't believe they didn't all sell out days ago.

I cant make it Saturday as for some stupid reason I am going on holiday rather than watching our first game in the top flight. Thought I would see what the ticket availability was though, I cant believe that 5 days before kick off of the biggest game in our history I can still get 8 tickets together if I wish.

I am stunned that all tickets were not sold out the day they were released. I hope this is the shape of things to come as I didnt think I was going to get to see the boys too many times this season. Booked my Man. City tickets the other day and could have the pick of the seats.

how come people who don't have a member card get 10 points for the game while us STH only get 5?

Because they are issued a member card at the same time, applications for a member card receive 5 points.

So it's 5 points for the member card and 5 points for the game.

is it because they also get 5 points for the member card and so STH's don't actually get any more points than someone who pays by a match by match game?

Possibly with brand new member card holders? But it's unlikely that many people going match by match will get to see all 19 games anyway due to the demand for the larger fixtures. For example, I'd expect the Man Utd tickets to sell to the first tranche or two of points so new holders won't get much chance.

As a result we're end up with more points over the season. Even if someone does get to see every game they'd end up having paid more than us and had the hassle of trying to get tickets every time whereas we can just turn up on the day. So you could argue they'd deserve them by May.

I believe STH get the extra 5 points each year?? New member card holders will obviously only get them in the year they applied for the card.

STH also get all the points upfront so are always going to be ahead of a member card holders buying on a game for game basis.

Managed to get 2 tickets for me and my dad last Wednesday while on holiday! When my dad phoned up he was told that the East, North and West stands are for season tickets only. Wasnt too sure we would be able to get tickets but 2 tickets in R30 Row Z, thank you very much! Surprised that the online tickets go from front to back, as last season they sold tickets from the back didnt they?

As for the game not selling out yet, I imagine a lot of people are on holiday this weekend which is one of the reasons my dad and I earmarked this game as one to go to. I do expect most of the tickets to have gone by the weekend, if not then I could get to more games than I first thought

The bigger games (Man U, Chelsea etc) will always go straight away though. I would be very surprised if there were many tickets still left after the first day of them going on sale.

The final remaining tickets for our first ever game in the Premiership against Middlesbrough this Saturday are on general sale now.

Middlesbrough have sold around 2,000 of their 2,200 allocation.

Only a few hundred seats remain, and the majority are in block G3 of the Lower West Stand. There are other seats scattered around the ground but they are mainly single seats.

I'm confused. If they have all these spare seats scattered around the ground, why did they not sell them to some of the 1000 people who could not get a season ticket?

But when I went in to the ticket office this week I was told there was 'no chance' of getting a one-off ticket in the East or North stands unless people sold their seats back under the buy-back scheme. On Tuesday the South stand was the only option given to me.

The message changes from day to day.

That does seem strange, I was told the same as Humanistic that only tickets in the South Stand would be available. I'm guessing the club are starting to worry that ST holders wont be filling the seats. But even that doesnt sound right.

As for the ST policy I actually respect the club for making more seats available for non STs maybe because they know that ST prices are so high plenty of fans can't afford to get them.

Have I missed something, when did the club actually launch the buy-back scheme or is the TO making things up again (I thought it was still a proposal).

E-mailed the club regarding the Buy Back scheme and got the following repliy;
