Scratch Golbourne, at least for the next month.

That was kind of my point.

In essence, if we are very unlucky with injuries, we will more than likely be fcuked! Imagine having to play Chelsea with John Halls and Gunnarson in centre mid!

In some ways, I won't mind that. I hope that the team aren't thinking this way, but I'm prepared to pretty much write off the points against last year's top 4 - but not Spurs

I'd be much more aggrieved if we had to play Pompey or Wigan with the above scenario, because they're the teams we'll really need to ensure maximum points against. I'd feel fairly confident against Shef U with those too, though - it's not like the Blades have a midfield of their own :)

For comparison, what are Watford, Sheff Utd, Fulham, Middlesboro, Charlton, Portsmouth, Villa, Everton, Wigan, Man City, Newcastle, Bolton, West Ham and Blackburn's equivilent???

:?

I suggest that those teams may not have anywhere near as much strength in depth as you perceive them to have and, in their own way, are just as susceptible to injuries (and more so to suspensions) as we are.

On the other hand, if you are comparing us with the likes of Man Utd, Chelsea, Liverpool, Spurs and Arsenal, then yep - you have made a totally valid and indisputable point; we don't have the same strength in depth as those teams........

most of these players would probably walk in to most Championship sides but it really is an unknown whether they are good enough if they are called upon in the Premiership. They will give 100% committment thats for sure. If you added another experienced CB and CM to this list I would be reasonably happy. Following Coppell's cooments about the two 5 Mill bids for players, I'm just beginning to wonder whether the club has got its transfer policy wrong by seemingly targetting only certain players who are seen as 'fiiting in'??

Yeah, Reading's success this season is really dependent on health, I think we can really suprise people this season, and possibly end up in the top half, but if we have injury problems...hopefully we can hang on. I'm expecting some big signings soon.
