5-0 Reading at half time. Game then abandoned due to flood light failure. Boro win the rematch 0-4, thanks to ref Graham Poll who gives three Boro players two yellow cards without sending them off, then sends three Royals players off for trying to make him aware of the crap decisions.

3-2 to the Royals.

We surprise them by the speed with which we attack and get a couple of early goals (Kitson & Sidwell). Just after half-time we go 3 up through a Nicky Shorey free kick, but then start to relax and get a bit sloppy, allowing Boro to get 2 late goals to leave us sweating.
