Parking

by DaveM » 19 Aug 2006 20:05

Noticed today people were parking absolutely everywhere. From parking along the A33 to parking on every grass verge near HP etc... Did any tickets go out coz surely these areas shouldn't be used for parking?

If not ticketed they should be.

These twats were driving across the pavements onto the dual carriageway after the game. Very dangerous behaviour.

I have no idea what the were doing today with getting into the parking lots. Why in the world did they (at first) close off the Northern Way entrance?

Well here goes then, you cannot do so as it is illegal. Feel free to keep breaking the law if you wish, but don't come on here later to complain about the extortionate fine that you receive for doing it.
ps this is national law, not club policy! :D

Since the Mad Stad opened it's risen from about £1.50 to £10 :o It's ridiculous. I really hope they lose out on business because no-one wants to park there anymore. Luckily we got there early on Saturday and parked on the otherside of the road. £3 cheaper

Oh I dunno, £10 to park in a hotel which can attribute 100% of it's Saturday profits to the football and fans drinking at the bar seems fine to me. They'll charge what people are happy to pay

At least you can see them investing in the profit. The standard of lady on the gate was much higher than what I remember last year.

Now they just need to realise that 2 bar staff to serve the entire bar may need reviewing. The guy in glasses looked like he was having a nervous breakdown at about 2.15.

we got the red car park season ticket which i THINK was about £100 this year which is right outside the ground, and as it includes cup and friendly games too averages out at a relatively reasonable price, im not sure if this is still available though.

although the guy that sits next to me in the ground has taken the STAR car parking option which was £80 for all games and is about 20 mins walk away from the Madstad so he doesnt get caught up in all the congestion.

again though, you would have to check on availability with the club

Rip off. Walk the 10 minutes from across the Basingstoke Road. Plenty of safe and quiet roads to park that haven't been stumbled on, and wont like to be but why throw money away like that!

Parked in my normal car park, which is still free, but I did notice a number of screws and sharp objects on the floor of said car park on my return, maybe they don't want us there anymore?

To this day, since moving to the Madejski, I have only paid for car parking on a handful of occasions, normally when I'm running fairly late and need to park somewhere, so a paying car park normally does rather than a 10-15 minute walk.

Woohoo! Got my City tickets and am going to my first game since Sheffield United last season. Now just got to work out the parking - if I get to J11 for 6.30pm will I get a space at the dog track?
