Actually, if he is a fairly recognisable character in Bristol, maybe somebody was taunting him for that miss. If he over-reacted to someone taking the piss, then that is obviously no excuse, but it might explain the situation.

Football stars jailed over brawl

Bristol City captain Brooker was jailed for 28 days
Three professional footballers who admitted taking part in a drink-fuelled brawl at a nightclub last October have been jailed.
Wales international David Partridge, 27, and Bristol City team mates, Scott Brown, 21, Bradley Orr, 23, and Steve Brooker, 25 were charged with affray.

On Friday at Bristol Crown Court, Orr and Brooker were jailed for 28 days, Partridge was sent down for two months.

He was also ordered to pay £1,000 compensation to a doorman.

City centre

Brown was given 120 hours' community service for his part in the brawl.

The court heard the quartet were on an evening out when violence erupted as Partridge was ejected from the Romeo Browns nightspot in Bristol city centre.

Prosecutor Robert Davies told the court Partridge "lost control" and charged at the club's doormen.

He became involved in a fight with the bouncers and his team mates then became involved.

Orr, who was sent off recently for headbutting a team-mate in City's 3-1 win at Northampton, was ordered to pay £2,500 in defence costs.

A spokesman for Bristol City FC said the club would issue a statement on its website but would make no further comment.

This is very, very bad news for Lita. As I previously indicated, the local politicians, police and courts here are all sick of footballers using Bristol City Centre as their own personal playground - thinking they're above the law.

If jail terms are handed out for scraps where no-one really gets injured, think what's likely to happen to someone who causes vision impairment........

I don't think it has a thing to do with passion for club. If there is passion there, it's for his own personal achievement - don't think he has one wit of loyalty or allegiance to RFC. Fair enough - he doesn't really have to as long as he's committed to being a decent player overall, but attitude is a part of what kind of player you are. And these events just keep proving that his attitude sucks.

This obviously shows how angry Leroy was for missing his chance and losing against Wigan, showing he cares about the club.

I screwed up at work on Friday, came home and nutted the bloke next door and damaged his eye socket - just got a call today to say I've been given a pay rise for the dedication I've shown. Result!
