melonhead he got injured, and brian kept kish in cos we were winning games.
pearce wouldnt have made that mistake at wembley

Revisionist nonsense. Pearce made plenty of errors last season. He's been out most improved player this year and has become better than I could have hoped. Gorkss presence has clearly contributed to that.

SO SHUT UP :!:

I don't think it is revisionist nonsense, when he got fit there were several people (most prominently Ian Royal, though that was mostly because of his Mills hate) questioning why he hadn't been put back in the side. And why he wasn't whenever Mills made a mistake.

Gorkss' presence has contributed to his further improvement this season though.

LOL @ the gap between Karacan and Legs though. Last season Legs was probably our second best player (possibly even ahead of Long) and Karacan still beat him to third place, this season they are roughly level on performance but Karacan is miles ahead in the poll- is that because he just scored two goals? Ridiculous regardless.

I'm going to vote for Gorkss, but he's only narrowly ahead of Pearce who has outperformed him over recent weeks. Federici should be third but it looks like that'll go to Karacan, who should be in the chasing pack with the rest of the midfield and Roberts for me.

Bit awkward that they've missed out Noel Hunt from the nominee list... Poor fella!

Having today looked again at L-wood's stats it's criminal he has no votes.

Our ppg since Roberts arrived (and the effects he's had all round)

could he win it yet?

Gorkss back in the fore after his equaliser on Saturday.

I'm going to keep my powder dry on this one and go with whoever's better out of Pearce and Gorkss for the next couple of games.

Cummings and Hunt hard done by as well, but its been such a team effort this season that I wouldn't begrudge any of our starting 11 winning

I thought it would be easy to pick player of the season, but in fairness to every one of them whose played from October onwards, they've all, to a man, come in whenever asked and been great. I think I could legitimately find a good enough reason to vote for almost all of them, but for the consistent good form he's shown all season, even when we were poor at the start, I think I'd have to vote for Alex Pearce.

This poll and the thought I've had to put into my vote has sharpened my belief that we are very fortunate to support a club that has longevity in its playing staff, faith in its managers, a chairman that (for his faults) has stuck by us and established us a Championship side pushing for promotion on a regular basis, new owners coming in who have put their money where their mouth is before they've even been handed over the keys and above all, a manager that has managed to squeeze every last ounce of quality out of a squad that, on paper at least, is probably only top 12.

West Ham, Leeds, Forest and others may have more history than us, but we are in the middle of MAKING history and I feel privileged to be around now to see it happen, rather than just sing about how good we used to be (the "106, we've got the record" chant aside!).

[Rant over]
