 at us if he starts banging in goals for Wednesday, whilst we're paying all his wages.
Hopefully he won't, and hopefully we're not.

Far too early to declare this bit of business a coup for Reading though.

Still be doing us a favour if he's helping take points off other teams.

Not sure how that would favour us, we'd still be midtable.

We're only midtable because off Royston's goals for Sheff Wed keeping other teams below us. Or something.

Royston will be brilliant for the first couple of games; all the Shef Weds fans will think he is the greatest player ever and they have got a bargain. But after a while, as his influence in games gets less and less, and then he gets dropped (probably around mid October) they will realise that in fact, Hammond has mugged them!

:D

To be honest, how he does elsewhere is irrelevant to us, seeing as he can't do it direct to us. He wasn't wanted and hasn't contributed much of use to us and was costing us a bomb. We reduce our outgoings and get him away from the squad. Giving him a chance to earn a further loan / perm signing and reduce our outgoings further.

The only possible way his theoretical good performance for Wednesday is significantly bad for us, is if they finish one place above us in 2nd, 6th or 21st.
