So that gives around £1.1m to Watford, which isn't all that bad for them.

What was their sell on clause? That's less than 10%. Seems an odd amount.

Would it only be a percentage of the profit and not the total fee?

Because championship manager rounds things up to nice round nunbers doesn't mean the real world does. We don't even know the transfer fee on this, just media speculation over what it is.

Maybe the up front payment was £11M meaning it is 10% and they will get 10% of each add on later?

Who knows is what I am trying to say.

Triffic piece of business by Ferguson, he's already got a young defence ready for the next decade (assuming De Gea eventually signs), now he's working on the midfield where the real gaps are.

Anyone for another decade of United dominance?

Setting up the team nicely for Mourinho to reap the benefits in a few years.

It all depends on who replaces Fergie in the next 12-24 months. If he stayed then yes completely agree, but the future United manager will have huge shoes to fill, his own style, different man management style. The change will be interesting.

BBC wrote The 25-year-old, reported to have cost United about £17m, passed his medical with the league champions on Thursday.

Watford set to get 15% of any figure above the £9.65m transfer fee Villa paid to take him from Vicarage Road.

Which I believe to be the most reliable source one can use at present.

All taken from the BBC site.

The Times says Steve Bruce has had a joint £12m bid accepted for the United trio of Wes Brown, John O'Shea and Darron Gibson, but players yet to agree terms.. £12m for United deadwood, another good deal for Fergie. Not sure Sunderland are getting much for their money.

two players in their 30s; not sure £4m a head would make all that much sense either so I half agree BUT what experience Brown and O'Shea bring

i am sure it wasn't long ago at all that Darren Gibson was said to be the future of Man Utd.
