Potentially tricky away game? Nah, Barca cruising to a 3-1 win at Malaga.

They have scored 3 goals or more in 20 of their 31 matches this season.

Random one this. Have been Wiki-ing the Spanish leagues. Since the end of last season, 14 of the 22 Segunda division clubs have changed their manager at least once - on Wiki 12 of these say 'end of contract' - do contracts for managers work differently in Spain, that it's normal for half the division to change coach over the summer?

I'd imagine it has a lot to do with the Spanish equivalent of reserve teams which get to play in the lower divisions (hence why you see Barcelona B playing the likes of Villarreal).

Barcelona into the cup semi final meaning that in a 4 week period Real Madrid will now face Barca 3 times and Man Utd twice. And that will be with their comedy keeper in goal as Casillas is out with a broken hand. Pepe also been out for a while and could miss some if not all.

Mourinho's Madrid career to end in a wimper

40 goals for Messi this season, he's scoring at a quicker rate than last year.

Cristiano Ronaldo scores his 19th hat trick for Real Madrid, 16th in la liga (that's one more than Messi) and therefore makes it 179 goals in 176 games for Madrid in a 4-0 win against Getafe.

Ever Banega, the boy who had the world at his feet a few years ago, sent home from training at Valencia for being drunk again.

Random bloke turns up at Bayern Munich today, says he is Franck Ribery's cousin and is due to meet him, security just let him in. He has a wander about the place, players finish training and go back to the changing room where said bloke is waiting. Turns out he was there to confront Ribery over something, does said confronting, mayhem ensues, man is thrown out.

German media also saying it is the same bloke that delivered a pitbull in Ribery's name to their training ground last week

Lol

Messi scores for a 14th consecutive league game - this surely has to be unprecedented?

301 goals for Barca now, in 365 games. And 48 in 36 this season.

Liked this stat, courtesy of Opta. Fiorentina midfielder David Pizarro has been booked 12 times in 18 matches this season. But those 12 bookings are from only 13 fouls. At least he commits to the tackle.... :)

I went to PSG vs Marseille last night.

Saw Beckham's first game, involved with the goal.

I could not begin to describe how awful Ibrahimovic was.

Someone set off a thunder flash in our end.

Not the league but Real Madrid beat Barcelona 3-1 in the Copa Del Rey at the Nou Camp.

Bayern knock Dortmund out of the German cup thanks to a lovely goal from Robben. Dortmund didn't really put up much of a fight tbf.

Saw the 2nd half of this and have to agree - their keeper made a great save after a neat Munich move though. That aside, a fairly boring half of football.

Only just rembered that Malaga are banned from Europe next season so 5th place in La Liga get into the CL.

Getafe in 9th are only 5 points off a CL please.

went to Lierse v Kortrijk on Saturday night, Lierse won and so definitely qualify for Playoff 2, Playoff 3 being the relegation play-off

A while since I had a Messiw@nk. If Messi scores away at Celta Vigo on Saturday, he wil have scored for the 19th game in a row, and also set a pretty unique record of scoring against all of his team’s league opponents, in a row. The last time he failed to score was at home to Celta Vigo on 3rd November.

He needs 9 goals from 10 games to break his La Liga scoring record of 50. And he’ll need 19 from Barca’s remaining 15 games (if they reach the CL final) to break his all competitions record of 73.
