We will be trimming our wage bill by a good 30-40% this summer I imagine. If we are to sell Moore and Puscas, lose Swift and then others released such as Araruna who won't have his contract renewed I don't think either, we should be in a good place to give players new deals.

There will be plenty of free agents out there and if we can use the loan market well to bring in 5-6 players there and hopefully get some young talent in willing to prove themselves at this level, then we should be fine.

I believe we're still operating within the EFL agreed business plan next season but hopefully we have a bit more flexibility beyond no transfer fees and £8.5k/week

Flip side is serious anxiety about the quality of the squad we will have. It's been a tough season this year, but ultimately we have better players than our relegation rivals which counts for a lot. That may not be true next year. We can overcome it with smart recruitment, better management and a more positive atmosphere, but don't underestimate the scale of the challenge that will face us next season should we survive this year.

Yeah that would be my worry (in terms of quality of squad) but I still think we would have enough quality in our squad anyway. I'd anticipate that Holmes and Rino would stay and sign new deals with us. We'd still have Joao, Meite and Ejaria as a front 3 regardless and there is enough quality there, hopefully we can tie down at least two of Hoilett, Halilovic and maybe Ince when he becomes a free agent which gives us some good depth there.

We would certainly need a Swift replacement, but we can easily pick up 2/3 good midfielders in the free market or loan area as well as a few decent full backs as well.

Of course there are teams under threat of points deductions next season too, unless the EFL changes they recently brought in have massively shifted the goal posts.

I'd probably anticipate one or two other teams suffering points deductions next season. Bristol City and Stoke would be my guess unless something changes along the line, Middlesbrough will be on the list and maybe even Huddersfield as I know that their owner Phil Hodgkinson as put all 4 of his businesses into administration and if memory serves I believe their parachute payments are up this season (could be next - but it would still reduce anyway)?
