Expect the normal RFC cobblers - "we are pleased to announce that season ticket prices will be held at the current prices for 2013/2014 season" Then comes the bit about improving the infrastructure, building the Academy up, investing in a new training ground, making a series of repairs to the Mad Stad, re tarmacing the car park, investing in new under soil heating, re building the Media Centre and this all costs money...........

Fogetting of course the biggest problem we have is the bloody team!!!!

When you say 'current price' you don't mean £525 do you? That would be a non-starter for a lot of fans I imagine.

I think the obvious price is £375 for renewals and £395 afterwards. If they go above the £400 barrier I think they will lose too many.

My predictions have proven rubbish so far, but I'm optimistic that they will go even lower; just to try and hold on to the casual PL glory boys crowd. It would be a sign of ambition that they would rather have 18,000 ST holders paying £250 then 11,000 paying £400.

That is a massive disincentive unless the quality of football on display increases significantly!

I know a few people on here will see some of the offers as too commercial and American, but it's really interesting to see what the Seattle Sounders are doing with their season tickets. If nothing else, it shows that they're putting the fans first (a big issue this week after the Bundesliga success), and although we all have different views on what loyalty actually is (I'd imagine Reading's commercial staff would think of loyalty as who buys the club calendar rather than who goes away from home) there's a lot there that the club could learn from. It'd make this debate a whole lot more interesting than just price. http://bit.ly/17VYH6o

Tokyo Sex Whale I aint clicking on shit.

Can you enlighten us all?

The link is genuine.

Basically the Seattle Sounders have released membership cards which can also be used as pre-payment/loyalty card in the ground. So you swipe to enter, like at the Mad stad, but you can also use it to buy food/drink and other stuff at the stadium at a discount. Ever transaction earns you loyalty points which can be redeemed against club stuff like merchandice, stadium tours, meeting players etc. You also get bonus points for turning up to games earlier

Having been to a couple of sport events in the US last year, I would be very happy if we could start replicating the same type of game experience over here. Rather than running food/drink stalls like a motorway service station (maximum price, minimum quality) why not let vendors offer a range of decent food/drink options to fans? I must have seen about 9-10 different lagers on offer at an American football stadium I went to - at the mad stad your choice is Fosters, Fosters or Fosters.

Yep - I said we'd probably hear tomorrow - they've had the pricing sorted was just waiting until we were definitely down I reckon.

That's exactly what it was. They're would have been a price increase had we stayed up. Hopefully the prices stay the same, at the worst, for next season; otherwise they'll lose a few more fans than the usual plastic tag alongs.

Why would they release it in the very wake of relegation. Let the dust settle then get the info out, what's the hurry?

15000 season tickets @ £400ish = £6mill they want in their accounts as soon as possible? Sooner they get the renewal notices out the sooner they get access to more dosh.

Won't be that many renewals. Also many are no where near 400

I thought it was around 14,000 normally in the chump, and expected a few more with renewals from this season. Depends on price I guess. Anyway, it was just an estimate/example as to why the club would want the money in their accounts sooner rather than later.
