Honest question: how does it work with referees? Surely you'd have thought a new champ ref will have been established at a lower level.

Why does this ref seem like he's completely out of his depth? Like he's never officiated in anything other than a school match on a playground???????

If you're the EFL. Give the crappest ones to the team you're determined to see relegated.

Seems like it. This is beyond ridiculous. Most refs are fairly decent with a couple of errors in them in key moments.

This guy honestly seems like he's a random chap from the pub who's never even watched let alone officiate a professional football match.

Absolute madness from Fornah and Casadei... and that could easily have been a penalty.

This is going to be controversial and not at all my initial reaction. But I think on the replay there was a hint of Fornah clipping the leg and missing the ball first attempt and then getting the ball. I'm not sure, but he might have got the Fornah unbelievably right... soft as fudge though. And never a yellow card.

First watch looked offensively bad decision and still only a hint of might have seen something on replay.

His first Championship game was only last month, have to wonder at the intelligence of putting that sort of ref in charge of games involving relegation/promotion fighting teams late in the season. That said though he has had 5/6 seasons in L1 and L2 so shouldn’t be too different for him.

Ah it's all the referees fault now?

Nobody is to blame for how shit we are other than the manager and players.

If Reading could actually string a decent attack or two together and somehow get the three points they’d move up to 19th. Getting desperate for some sudden bit of magic from someone e.g. Ince resigning.

I first commented before that decision. It's been a catalogue of comedy from this guy. Out of his depth at this level.

I don't think anyone is blaming the performance on the dreadful ref. And tbh he could have given two soft penalties against us.

Guess what the manager’s comments will focus on.
