The club declined to comment on the signing, but Drenthe took the matter into his own hands and posted a picture of himself wearing Reading's latest training kit at the Madejski on Instagram.
The 26-year-old midfielder is pictured with his thumbs up alongside a short message of '#nr10 #readingfc super happy !!'.

Barry the bird boggler The club is probably doing its usual thing and keeping Schtum until 1st July when it'll do a big thing about Drenthe, Bridge and anyone else who may join in the meantime
They probably see it as great PR and efficiency saving rather than the total willyness of it all that the fans see it as
