MmmMonsterMunch For what it's worth I agree about Gunter & Gorkss. I don't know how you solve the problem of CM though. Lets be honest, it's been an issue for 6 years now.

To be honest if we played are best team and lost i wouldnt be so arsed as at least we were giving a go, but by not playing are best team i feel frustrated angry and questioning BM management
And the CM question, it has been a issue but should have been sorted in the summer but it wasnt sorry another management failure

He's already been judged and found wanting some months after the closure of the last one.

Born 'n Bred Royal How has he? We've got the smallest wage bill and spent the least in the entire division. I don't know if he had more funds available or not in August - if he did I think even Brian himself will be able to tell that we need 3 or 4 players, in which case he needs more time. He was a miracle worker last season and deserves to see out his project in the premier league. We're only 1 point inside the relegation zone with still Aston Villa and Soton to play. Maybe if we lose both Anton will start to change his mind but he's already been given full backing.
Born 'n Bred Royal Had we won or even drawn yesterday which we were seconds away and a stonewall pen decision from doing there wouldn't be these sorts of moronic posts. Let's trust McDermott - although the second half was poor yesterday there wasn't a massive margin between the sides and they've been in the PL for years now. A bit of perspective is required I think, although I fear anti-Mcdermott sentiment is starting to creep in. Let's give him some money in January and if we're still found wanting after that then I think it would be fair to assess his position

Born 'n Bred Royal I think Brian's main failing this season is poor activity in the transfer window, there isn't really much that can be done with the current squad....
Born 'n Bred Royal I'm still fully behind Brian, it can take years of yo-yoing between the prem and Champ before prem status can be maintained - just look at where West Brom are now! We need a long term vision of stability and gradual improvement rather than wielding the axe every few months.

I agree on the first half of that statement, but the second half is one of those cliches that's being banded about quite a bit recently. Do you really think it's true though?
You don't think some of our players are playing below their potential? You don't think more could be squeezed out of the likes of Guthrie, Pogbregnyak or Kebe and McLeary?Born 'n Bred Royal
You make a fair point here - I am very concerned about Pogbrenyak - he was billed as our messiah at the start of the season, the big name signing showing the ambition of TSI and where they want to take the club. However apart from one decent header against Chelsea and a goal against swansea which Vorm should have held, what has he done???
My main concern about Brian (although I still think hes the man for the job) is his inexperience at handling the new, more experienced PL players and the fact that Guthrie isn't being considered despite he's technically our best midfielder. i still think it's too early to wield the axe before the January transfer window. However if we lost both the Villa and Southampton games then my stance may start to change as there will almost be no way back without a miracle or some very shrewd acitivity in the transfer window.

Coppell built a better squad you mean?
He was fortunate to take over a good squad from Pardew but he worked wonders in spending very little to bring together those better players. That is very good management, even if he did cock it all up by remaining too loyal to them!

I really just hope BM resigns instead of being sacked.
But then do I secretly want him to resign?
IF he went it would be a "mutual agreement". After what he has done, they will never come out & sack him. They will give him the push in as dignified a manner as possible. I would be properly gutted though I have to say.
There's literally been a rizla paper between us getting a result & not in more than half of the games. After all he has done, it is cruel he is being talked about like this.
If he'd lost in the play-offs, he would comfortably be in a job now & everyone would have given him a huge pat on the back for doing well with such a limited team.
The man has absolutely over achieved - way more than Coppell, Pardew & this is the thanks he gets.
Football is harsh, cruel & I hate the way this season is panning out.
