WestYorksRoyal I've lost hope now. November was the moment. We'd had months of speculation and managed to get 5 offers of substance on the table. The open goal to extract what value he could was there for Dai. He chose not to. Fcuk knows where we go from here, whether it's a quick death or years more miserable stagnation. But there are no reasons for hope.

Pretty sure it'll be quick.

Increasingly we seem to not be paying suppliers, which means sooner or later we'll rack up enough for someone other than Dai to push us into Admin, but probably not soon enough to beat the FL managing to bar him from owning us.

Nope, unsecured creditors can't place us into administration. The EFL banning Dai is the more likely route.

How does one become a secured creditor?

morganb How is invading the pitch/throwing tennis balls/wearing black going to convince Dai to accept £5 million less or for a buyer to pay £5 million more as surely that's all they are interested in rather that what the fans do?

The only real chance the club has is to get enough political attention we get managed through it. How to get attention? Be on the front page of BBC Sport...

Also I'd argue abandonments make it more likely for the EFL to go for banning Dai, and consequently the adjudicator accepting the sanction.

More likely to fuel the narrative that football fans are troublemaking violent yobs, and lose us sympathy.

There's always a fair amount of people calling for a pitch invasion after every bit of negative news that comes out from the club and none have convinced me it'll actually be effective, I don't think they ever really to justify why it would be a good idea.

Saturday feels like the first time something might happen though and if a small group charge on, the floodgates might open.

Can't help but feel this is what Dai actually wants to happen. Clearly doesn't give a shit, happy to see us fold, and views all protests as a pyrrhic w@nk fest victory. It will make absolutely no difference as to when or if he sells. He doesn't need the cash. He's probably smirking every time he see's it.

I don't want the match abandoned. I will support the team on the pitch, - we need the points. We need to keep the players positive.

It wasn't that long ago we were no.13. Lets get back to that.

It's normally a financial arrangement with a lot of legal documentation and collateral against it. For example, the Thais previously had a loan secured against Bearwood, but that was cleared in the autumn fuelling speculation that a deal was close.

You wouldn't ever have it for unpaid services by caterers, coach companies etc. I guess hypothetically the caterers could have drawn up a new contract secured against our assets in the event of non payment, but that would be exceptionally rare. These things are normally the domain of financial services companies who are familiar with how these things operate.

You can also get floating charges that are not secured against a specific asset but give you rights under insolvency law and would allow you to request administration.

God knows what Dais motivation is now tbh. Surely if he just couldn’t give a toss he’d just sell up for the least troublesome option and give him 20m to spaff up the wall in his local casino

Is he that much of a twat that he gets something out of seeing the absolute state he has left us in?

Just bizarre behaviour tbh. Why make everyone absolutely hate you and potentially threaten your personal safety eventually when you could have just sold up months ago, issue a ‘sorry it didn’t work out’ statement and walk away with a chunk of cash in his pocket. Just weird

RG30 My worry with any pitch invasion is the match is publicly declared "abandoned" but they resume when all spectators have cleared the stadium which has happened before.

Has it? Would be interested to know when.

Didn't Blackpool fans force out the owner through protest and not turning up?

Being on the front page of BBC Sport won't help much if it is a negative story. Protests have to be at the man, not the club.

If match is abandoned by fan action, one or more of the following will happen:

Game awarded as 3-0 to Vale.
Points potentially deducted
1 or 2 games to be played behind closed doors if risk of a repeat considered high enough.

What it won't do, is make him sell.

I'm all for demos but forced abandonment is, for me, just about some people wanting to "feel better" about things. There is close to zero positive outcome from doing it.

what was the outcome of the man u liverpool game that was abandoned because of the utd fan protest?

Taking aside that we are in different competitions there are a number of major differences.

Firstly, the game was not abandoned it was postponed. It never started.

Secondly, protests were planned for outside the team hotel & the stadium, those who broke in were not part of the official protest.

What is being discussed openly here is a large number of fans proposing to attend tomorrow's game with the sole intention of letting the match start & then deliberately entering the pitch, multiple times if needed to ensure the game has to be abandoned.

Now, whilst I hope & expect things to be relatively peaceful, there is a risk that someone goes too far during the invasion.

As the EFL, if you see that happen tomorrow, and it is paying fans that enter the pitch during the game, the only way you could protect the players and club staff is by having no-one there. As you cannot say for certain thst the same won't happen against Derby or Orient...

Interestingly wasn't the last on the pitch protest when we were playing Port Vale, just before terry the taxi was sacked in 1998?

I think he may well do.

The fact he's fecked over two clubs, just walking away and letting them sink out of sight just highlights his personality.

You guys are ignoring the possibility that Dai literally doesn't even think about the club and our protests don't get anywhere near his 'bubble'. Like, the only time Reading fc comes into his day is/if when Pang asked for money. That it's the latter making all the decisions, including the sale.

How many in favour are Oxford, Swindon or Vale fans looking for us to just hand over the points

I'm sure plenty are also just trolls who think it would be funny to start a pitch invasion over twitter.

I'm sure there must be someone on here who can interpret / translate Belgian Financials better than I...

Below link details KSV Roeselares annual accounts up-to bankruptcy - the final set certainly don't make for good reading.

Seems like a familiar path.

Nothing to be gained by disrupting the match now. Club cant wear a points deduction or fine, and the players must be mentally shot as it is.
