Wonder if Mbengue will replace Holmes at HT. Mick says yes but I reckon not.

The word I think you're looking for, is "desperate"

Preston should be out of sight. We are riding our luck way too much..

Sadly, that replaces one decent defender with another, leaving two useless ones still on.

It wasn't the worst half ever, although Preston have had 2/3 good chances to get a goal so we've rode our luck to an extent.

We just seem a yard off the opposition all the time and the only players that look capable of being neat with the ball are Casadei and Joao, the rest look a bit uncomfortable.

We can't afford to be having periods like we did in the first 10 minutes and then from 20-35 where we are just under a relentless amount of pressure. We do need an out ball and to be able to keep hold of it, we've done it on a couple of occasions at least. A point looks good right now.

Joao and Carroll are decent forwards at this level —— but they are nothing if you can’t get the ball to them !

Azeez would be an option but it doesn't seem like his sort of game, I think we've only had a handful of flick ons from Carroll this half which he'd have never got to and would have been isolated.

Our best route to goal based on that half is to try and play through the thirds, retain the ball and get Joao involved.

Note to manager. The downside is that this does not involve launching the ball at Carroll.

And congrats to Loum to go 45 minutes without being booked.

Azeez and Fornah would help with that.

Sadly, we could do with taking off Dann, Sarr and Hendrick and Holmes looks injured. And Carroll being on the pitch means we just lump it.

Back into the relegation zone. Good old WBA, really are starting to stink the division again.
