genome But it's alright, chaps. It's ridiculous to suggest the sides below us will start picking up points

Yeah where are Denver Royal and John Smith?

Derby utterly rancid performance - thought they were pretty useless when we played them - but 4-1 at home to Sunderland? Shame as could have pretty much written off Sunderland if they’d lost that

That Brizzle equaliser a huge moment for us today.

Birmingham 1 up and will win I can’t understand why Ipswich have said McCarthy is leaving at the end of the season.
The players are hardly going to bother already knowing the manager is leaving. One can only hope they are planning there summer holidays when they come to us.

Who’d have thought teams below us would pick up points?

I’m stunned.

Well according to John Smith, nobody else would pick up points and we were never in a relegation battle.

If today is any indicator, Ipswich will be our easiest game remaining this season, seems the news of McCarthy leaving at the end of the season has given them the cue to give up all fight.

Looks like Brum are on a little roll. Barnsley look faves for that 3rd place now tbh

Could do with a villa win to drag Hull back into it tonight

Brum have Burton at home soon too. It’s between us and Barnsley for third from bottom imo with Barnsley favourites to go down. We have three very tough games coming up with Villa, Preston and Fulham. Will we still be well clear of Barnsley after those games?
I couldn’t believe radio Berkshire with Dellor saying he was sure we would stay up If we beat QPR. We still have plenty to do.

Wouldn’t rule Bolton or Hull our either (if they lose tonight)

Annoyed that Sunderland won - not that I think they’ll catch us but were hoping they’d be dead and buried by the time we played them and full on meltdown

Realistically Ipswich and Sunderland at home are very winnable and that would be enough. Even one win would mean Barnsley having to win 3 of 7. Preston won’t be any better than QPR I doubt so wouldn’t rule out a point there

That penalty save yesterday looking even more important after that Birmingham result.

Hull 0-0, so they are still knocking about. Have wolves on Tuesday as well

It was huge as was Brizzle’s injury time equaliser.

I said several weeks ago I think Birmingham under Monk will get out of it and that realistically left the last spot down to imho Barnsley and us. Under Stam it would have been us, but now we will be fine.

Barnsley to go down for me.

Surely only the draw is good?

Or a Bolton win as Birmingham are the closest to us. Reality is, other results won't matter as long as the current bottom three continue failing to pick up points....which obviously didn't happen with Sunderland.

Worse case is:

Burton, Barnsley, brum, hull, sunderland win so they all gain 3 points on us and reading lose. Level in points (although basically an extra point due to gd) with Brum and 2 points ahead of barnsley. What a key penalty save and goal for drizzle that we!!! Effectively saved us 2 points and took 2 away from barnsley

Can see Sunderland beating Wednesday. Burton and Barnsley will lose. Bolton/Bham draw. We beat Villa.

Thing on our side for Tuesday is following Villa's draw yesterday they are really too far behind the top 2 and too far ahead of 7th to be anything but in the play-offs.

Our lot will have had an extra days rest over the Villa players. Villa will be on a downer too as it’s the play offs for them.
