I purged myself clean after 2 months of facing spakkers at work giving me the consoling looks, telling me it was only a game, better luck me time. WHAT - next time!!
Then gradually the trough became a peak until we started the new season.

TBM Thank god we didn't sign Khizanishvili

Am I the only one who adored Khiz last season? Well, during the league games, anyway. The man had a Berbatov-esque touch, possibly even the best in the whole squad at the time.

But I digress. I no longer look at Wembley from my window in despair. I feel triumphant now!

Yeah the play off semis were amazing.

Remember time slowing to a glacial drip when Shane Long lobbed it in the air.

That which does not kill you will make you stronger...and I marvel at the strength of this club and its supporters.

And that is why this will always have extra special meaning to me...knowing what they/we had been through less than a year ago. We were not going to be denied...

I got over it pretty quick tbh. But then I bloody love the Chumpionship. A new season means a new excitement for how we'll do, with another chance of going up. May & June are for feeling deflated and depressed. July is for excitement and anticipation.

I find the Pre Seasons slowly kick out the malaise. Then the anticipation or the fixtures - then the planning stage of getting to the matches.

You need to experience the lows to really appreciate the highs.
