Nothing much else from the press conf, Akande doing some work outside but still spending time with physio.

Craig "part-training"

Chem back at Wolves having treatment, club still trying to extend loan.

Brogue Not sure how the u21’s work anymore. But don’t injured players usually get a run out in the reserves for half an hour or so before coming into the first team. Or does that not happen anymore?

I guess it depends how long they've been out.....certainly think Yiadom should get a half or two before being considered for the first team.

well yeah, i find it bizarre for people to suggest they are going to be on the bench on Saturday. What, Yiadom is going to just come back to sit on the bench before doing any sort of reserve team footy after however many months out? i very much doubt kelvin e would either. Dorset? maybe, he's not been out that long. Unless i'm missing something here i would imagine both kelvin and Yiadom are probably still a couple of weeks away, or at least until they had a couple of run outs in the reserves.

I think it depends on their importance to the team and how training has gone.

How much more first team intensity is an U21 game than a training game within the first team squad. If Yids, a very experienced player, is looking good in training, why give him 45 minutes in an U21 game rather than 25 minutes in an FA Cup game?

Key players frequently go straight back into the starting XI, even from a substantial break.

Mbengue has a knee injury and is out for an expected 6 weeks.

Ok as it stands with Dorsett and Yiadom on way back but probably not if Bindon goes.

Probably not related, but bringing him straight in to play RB did seem foolish.

Seemed a bit more precautionary ish to me. But we'll find out soon enough.

Thought I'd summarise where we are as there are a lot of players out now:

Longish term - Elliott, Camara, Mbengue

Possibly injured yesterday - Dean, Wing took a hefty knock and was subbed off later, may have been as the game was done by then.

Back next 1-2 weeks - WiFi, Dorsett Abrefa, Campbell, Yiadom? Craig?

Fringe players, Not known - Spencer, Tuma

Any more feel free to update

I think Wing was taken off simply because the game was gone and it make sense to get him off and a kid on. I certainly hope that's the case!

Abrefa has started the last two games, so he's not out in the first place, did you mean Akande?

Don't think this is meant for me. Certainly it would be Akande, not Abrefa, in Mid Sussex Royal's post.

Club has posted a video of Mbengue playing table tennis with Yids; I'm no physio but he seems to be moving round the table pretty well for someone out with a knee injury for 6-8 weeks.

Jkhn Clarke was pitch side at the SCl last night for the u 21’s and looked fit and raring to go, so can’t be far off being fit enough to play- maybe the U 21 game this Friday.

Good news. A fully fit Clarke could be a real asset on the left.

DO you ever wonder, 'maybe I'm over doing the doom on literally everything, just a touch'?
