Doyle is a great work horse no doubt about it but quite honestly I think that ship has sailed. He is a confidence player & goes for long periods without scoring. Add to that he is actually quite injury prone I just don't see what he offers that we don't have already.

Was gutted when he left but I don't want him back.

Unless Wolves fancy doing a straight swop for Church?!

That seems expensive.

I love Doyley to bits and think he's be a good addition, but 5M?

Yeah not sure about this nostalgia. If this goes through then good luck to him and hopefully he'll prove to be another top McDermott signing.

I saw this yesterday and decided against posting it as its quite frankly bowlox.

£5m? You are kidding me, I appreciate everything he has done for us but we have both moved on. In all honesty I wouldn't even make a bid for him.

I don't think we'd need to pay £5m for Doyle but I do believe he would be a good signing for us.

Can't believe some people suggesting we are better than him now. Honestly...

Doyle, although not a goalscorer will work his nuts off and do the hard work for our main striker to find the space to score.

Agreed. He's not a goalscorer, but a very good second striker. I'd be happy to take him back provided it's for a sensible fee.

A striker that's not a goalscorer... We've already got Church.

Playing in a shit team that was relegated - if he can work the channels, allowing the space for a decent poacher then thats exactly what we need.

He will only do this while we are doing well.

He will hide out on the wing if we are doing badly.

He is a fairweather footballer.

Wow. I have rarely seen a player less deserving of the shirker tag you've just given him.

Doyle is NOT worth 5m. Needs to be a lot less then i'd have him back. He may work hard and in the channels etc. but strikers are judged on goals.
