Pepe the Horseman Can anyone be bothered to put together our head to heads v Warnock? Feels like we beat him on the regs.

Warnock's record vs Reading according to transfermarkt:

P21 W5 D3 L13

No wonder he hates us

Has a team ever gone down who were 10 points clear in December?

Didn't Millwall get relegated one year, after being top at Christmas?

Yeah, Mick McCarthy got the Ireland job and they absolutely plummeted afterwards. I remember them being top earlier in the season but not that they were still there at Christmas.

Yeh just looked it up and they were top on 9 December. Still 6th at the end of Jan.

That's insane.

They must have lost 90% of their remaining fixtures

If you look at their form before and after December it reads:

Before Dec: W9, D7, L3
Dec and after: W4, D6, L17

So it's only a 62.9% loss rate but still pretty bad, they did go down with 52pts which must be one of the highest points tallies to be relegated on.

That was the season the Millwall fan threw a spanner at Simon Shepard, iirc.

If it wasn’t broke, it wouldn’t have needed fixing.....etc.

Jesus Christ. A relegation battle would be too exciting and we are far too boring for that.

We're shite, but just the kind of shite where we're not really going to ever likely go down.

That's a pretty silly and arrogant post. You do realise Birmingham, Sunderland and Bolton won don't you? Burton are also picking up results. If we lose Moore and don't replace him then we have every chance of going down. We've struggled big time at home with only 3 paltry wins from 12. That is relegation form!!

At least we'd have the nicest ground in league one

Meh. I'm pretty laissez-faire about relegation. I've reiterated the point enough times throughout 14/15 and 15/16. Some cracking away days and a better chance of winning a oxf*rd game or two every now and then.

Well with Burton and Bolton winning the gap stands at 4 points.

If we lose at home to Birmingham, we are 100% relegation candidates, unlike the Burton result, they actually have a somewhat decent away record, especially for their position. Birmingham on the other hand, have only 3 points away from home this season and no wins.
