Kitsondinho 1) Lita v WBA (FA Cup Replay 2007) His 2nd in the hat-trick, a smash from 25 Yards after Harps flicked it off.

2) Nogan v Bolton '95 Play-off final.......what a moment!

3) Quinn v Brighton '94 - The header to make it 1-0, we are going up!!

Others I loved.....

M. Williams v Blackpool at Madstad (1999?)

Lambert v Forest
Shorey v Spurs (2006)
Lita v Palace
Doyle v Saints
Long v Derby
Murts v Bristol City - his other goal.
Parky v Wolves
Butler v Walsall Play-off Final

To put the record straight, JQ's first goal was a penalty at the Town End. The second was late on with a header which sparked the pitch invasion.

Not sure if my memory is going but does anyone else remember Trevor Morley scoring an overhead kick?
As pretty sure he did but doing my head in about when it was and who it was against!

I liked James Harper's goal away at Palace in the Championship year.

Not sure why really - night game, Andy Johnson had scored and run in front of the Reading fans, and the team just went "yeah, the thing is guys, we're just really fcking good okay?" and proceeded to smash in a thumping equaliser. Cue pandemonium in the away end and a belief that we really were going to do it.

Especially when you consider how exhausted he must have been from constantly beasting Steve Moran's doris.

Agreed.

Last season's favourite was without doubt Church's equaliser in the last minute away at Bristol City. Again, sheer pandemonium!

That Robin Friday goal has to be up there for me.

I also remember a superb goal by Sammy Igoe a few years ago. Throw-in from the West side of the pitch that ran across his body, he hit it first time from what seemed like 30 or 40 yards out (but was probably just outside the pen area in truth) and left the goalkeeper for dead. Can't remember the opposition, sadly.

For sheer joy the Forster goal v Wigan in the play-off semi is up there as well, as is Forster v Ipswich, cross shot on the volley from the right side of the pitch to just inside the LH post. Not to mention so many solo Forster runs from the half way line to thump it past hapless keepers.

For someone who took a lot of stick for his greed and inability to score Forster is getting a lot of coverage on this thread!

Friday Vs Exeter in the mid 70's (think we won 4-1). The first time that I saw a Reading player bend the ball.

Nogan's goal at Wembley - just brilliant

Both of Lita's goals against Man City away in the first Premiership season. Both were from identical (brilliant) passes from Harper and Sidwell and both finished brilliantly

Doyle away at Sheff Utd in '06 - 15 seconds gone and we're 1-0 up. (Seol's goal in the same game was a beauty too).

Harper v Liverpool - We were going to beat Liverpool. In the Premiership. At the Madejski. On TV.

De La Cruz v Sheff Utd - blinding run and a great finish against Paddy Kenny, in a game that had it all.

*Edit* - just seen the post above, definitely have to add Lita's goals at Man City to the list. And Fozzy's away at Palace in a 1-0 win. And Bryn's goal at Old Trafford in the cup. And Gilkes' goal in a 1-0 win at home to Bristol City in 1994. And Sidwell's at home to WBA on Ginger Day. And....

If I remember rightly thou, this was another bit of skill from Lita - a little backheel layoff I think. Lita appears quite a lot in this list. A very fast, dangerous, inventive player, scoring some amazing goals. Still not quite sure what went wrong.

DLC vs Sheffield Utd - superb breakaway

Forster vs Ipswich a few years ago - on teh corner of teh the box he curled it around teh keeper and in off the far post - absolutley sublime skill.

Convey vs Millwall - 'Nuff said

It was a brilliant goal. End to end in 2 touches. Francis hoofs the ball up field, on bounce on the centre spot and Billy takes a swing at it from 60 yds out . For those too young to have been there, the only vaguely similar goal I've seen us score is Alan Pouton's own goal for us at Grimsby. Similar sort of range, similar trajectory and similar placement. Actually, Pouton's goal is one of my favourite ever too.
