blueroyalsMuskrat I don't know why people are getting so Shirley Temple over the fact that the Chairman has said Long will be sold.
it's not that, it's the fact that he won't be replaced - SJM will just spend £200,000 on some 16 year old kid who won't make it for another 5 years, who's going to score the goals in the short run? all this club cares about is buying and selling players for a profit. they realised they can make huge profits after the likes of Doyle and Sigurdsson so will just rinse and repeat and pocket the profits - stuff the teams performance.

Had we backed BR it is unlikely we would have been at wembley. More likely we would have been at Old Trafford over the weekend.
Listening to Brendan, I think even he accepts that now.

Svlad Cjelli We're not habitual sellers of our top players. We're habitually unable to stop our top players from leaving for more money or to play at a higher level - although we do better than most at keeping them for longer.
That's a slightly different but more accurate way of presenting it - but also the norm for clubs like us.

Sir Dodger Royal Here's a quote from our TW** of a Chairman. The money grabbing Madman.
Madejski said: “This last game, the last throw of the dice, is a defining moment. Obviously there will be people within the club who are very talented and have a desire to move on.
“We just have to live with what we have – and be pragmatic, sensible, grown up and go forward. We’ll be able to bring in new, raw talent to replace old, good talent.”

Basically what he defines as RAW is CHEAP. That is why we are still in the Championship but then he has grabbed the season ticket money so it is no surprise. It really is time that he ****** off.

Just in case you don't remember, we've just finished 5th and been to a cup final.

Agreed, He should be giving "we don't need to sell, but if the transfer of Andy Carroll to Liverpool has shown, every player has a price"The Doctor he's hardly playing hard to get is he? shut up and let the bids come in. stop sounding so desperate to sell!!

Hugo Boss It's called business - Let prospective buyers know you're willing to sell in order to maximise interest and maximise profit. How long should he wait? Week before the new season?
The mentality of some people on this board never fails to baffle me.

If that's his idea of how to best maximise profit then perhaps it's little wonder that he doesn't appear anywhere near as rich as he used to!
Far better to argue that we don't need to sell and that any offer would have to be pretty spectacular to even make us consider, let alone accept, it.
