Tony Le Mesmer Pre Season friendlies are utterly dire, and should at the very least be free entry. Have not been to one since the late 90s.

It depends what you expect from them.
If you are expecting it to be like a proper match you'll be disappointed.
If you regard it as a day out with the chance to watch a match while having beer and a chat, they are fine.
I don't really like home friendlies though, unless we play someone different, like the time we played Feyenoord.
