Ideal We had one single decent chance at scoring, at home, against mouthampton.. the rest were all speculative long range efforts that would never go in in a million years.
Is that good enough?
F*ck off.

Ideal The simple question was either yes or no, is one proper chance at scoring good enough, at home, against southampton.
Yet none of you seem able to answer that, you just come up with loads of excuses and namecalling. Maybe you want to answer the question, yes or no, is it good enough?

Pepe the HorsemanAlexander Litvinenko I'm confused.
There was the header from the corner that Morrison headed over after 5 minutes, and the ALF blaze over from 5 yards after 22 minutes, or the good save at the foot of the post from Akpan a few minutes later - which one is the "single decent chance" you're talking about?
What about the header that was possibly over the line?

What a BS question.
OF COURSE IT ISN'T GOOD ENOUGH - IN ANY LEAGUE AT ANY LEVEL. WHAT POINT ARE YOU TRYING TO MAKE EXACTLY SEEING AS YOU ALREADY KNOW THE ANSWER TO THIS QUESTION???!
I wasn't the one claiming that Adkins would bring gifts, candy and intelligent football taking us to the next level.
Clearly we've gotten worse, not only worse, but much worse. Yet people are in such strong denial they are failing to realize this very reality of things.

Ideal So we're debating semantics now, wether or not we should count one or two qualified chances against Southampton at home... surely that makes all the difference.
What a load of RTG fanatics in denial you lot are! Of course we should be creating something like 8-9 good chances at home to Southampton if we want to win the match, wtf kind of drugs are you people on!?

Think the 'Akpan' one was Mariappa header, unless that was a different chance..

Because we started last season like a bottom six club until we got Gorkss to shore up the defence and we were then stunningly average mid table until we got Jason Roberts upfront. McDermott spent most of his time patching up the team after the Rodgers experiment when we gave silly goals away; and after we sold Gylfi; and after we sold Shane Long. When we had a hole Brian would find a championship solution like Legs and eventually he stumbled on the perfect championship combination of consistency and grinding out results by nicking goals.
Brian never found a solution to pace and and good movement off the ball and to be fair we rarely faced either in the championship (and when we did we struggled). Unfortunately at the next level up it is all about pace and movement off the ball and we have neither. We have a ponderously slow defence; a bunch of championship journeyman trundlers in midfield and a static slow front line that struggles to hold the ball up which is why we will finish bottom of the division.
Any rebuild may take 12-18 months as we have a major overhaul to undertake to get a team that will (a) survive the grind of the championship and (b) be able to play decent pass and move that will form the basis of a team that could hold its own in the premier league. I don't envy Adkins the task!

blueroyals See the Loic Remy goal vs. Wigan for an example of why you need to spend fukking money to stay in this league. Would like to see one of our 'strikers' do that. Would like to see anybody in League Two do that. Massive LOL @ whoever it was at the club that thought buying L1/L2 players would keep us in the PL. Massive
How can they get it so wrong twice in the space of 5 years?

Whilst I agree, but doesnt Remy play for a team thats on the brink of relegation with us?
I think this whole season has been a complete waste. We try 4 years to get back up but then waste it by not investing. Only reading.
